I haven't tried the Pure plugs, but I have the Pfun prostate stimulator and really love it. It was great for solo play, and during partner sex (didn't keep it in place; rather was worked in and out). I have the Pure Wand also, and that is my favorite for prostate stimulation, but probably not the best toy for a beginner. Because of the length, it's easy to work the Wand into just the right spot and have plenty of "handle" left protruding to hold and angle into your p-spot.
