Triple ripple royal - butt plug by Doc Johnson - review by harohunter

The Triple Ripple Royal isn't really a plug, nor is really a probe. I would consider it a stretcher or "tool" as Strictly Anal says. This is toy is intended for stretching the anus for larger toys/fisting. I think the best way to use this toy is just sit on it, or ride it while its flat on a surface. You could push it with your hand but it is just easier and less painful to sit on it.(Check my Personal Experience Why)

Triple Ripple Royal is made of Rubber so it is porous, which means you should use a condom with product for your safety and it makes cleanup a lot faster in my personal experience. The plug does have a smell to it, not a strong odor but it is noticeable. It doesn't smell bad it actually smells a little fruity and not a normal rubber smell most people associate with like a tire. For those who have tried other Doc Johnson rubber toys will notice this toy smells less than the other ones (at least mine did). The toy does have a slick rubber feel to it which helps it insert easier and requires a little less lube than a textured toy. The smooth texture is less stimulating than a textured toy. It seems to be a "dual-density" toy because it is filled with jelly, which seems to give it more of a soft feel. With the softer jelly center the toy has more give and squishiness and does aid insertion and play. It's not overly squishy, but it's not super stiff like an all rubber toy.

Warning: This toy is HUGE. It is almost 2.5in in diameter so this NOT for beginners or intermediate players, it's more suited for expert or someone looking to stretch to the next level.

The design of this toy was "alright," but could have been perfected on. The first bulb is small and makes for easy entry, but with such smaller bulb it makes getting over the second bulb a task. I think if the 1st bulb were a little wider it would be easier to stretch and completely insert the plug. The third bulb seems to be a tiny bit wider than the second, and by tiny I mean tiny. The base is big enough that it wont go in, but is kind of flimsy when putting it on a angle, or when not flat against a support. I think a base the circumference of the toy would have made it better because it would have been more stiff and offered a good handle for play.

The plug is offered in black or beige with the beige being 5 dollars more So I ordered the black and its just a generic black and nothing special. I wouldn't think there would be any difference in the beige one.

This toy does do a good job at what its designed for, stretching. Like I said in the shape/design section, I wish the plug had a slightly larger first bulb so you were more stretched for the second bulb. Unfortunately this didn't have a suction cup but I think it would have made it better for solo play and being able to thrust faster making you stretch faster.

The triple ripple is not really fun on its own because its too short and hard to handle/hold when it's lubed up because the lack of base and slippery texture. As a male I didn't receive prostrate stimulation from this toy.

This is a rubber toy so you can use silicone and water based lubes. Anally, thicker lubes work better. Something like Probe Thick and Rich sounds like a good lube from the reviews. The price of probe seems to be a good value also compared to the volume you receive.

The triple ripple is rubber and porous so it will hold bacteria so I would recommend using a condom Trojan Magnum XL is about the only condom that I know will fit, but it doesn't fit very well. To clean just remove the condom, run under hot water and wash with soap, make sure you rinse it after and dry with a towel. The rubber is pretty strong on this toy so it wont deform if you store it in any position on its own weight. It is pretty easy to store since it can go just about anywhere and any position.

Remember: LUBE, LUBE, LUBE! If you think you have enough, add more, better safe than sorry. I also find it helps to insert a little bit of lube inside the anus.

I had been using 2" diameter insert-able toys for sometime before I bought this tool. After the 1st time I tried to insert it I failed miserably. I thought "Oh my god how is thing ever going to fit." Well it sat in the box for a week or so. Then I brought it out again trying to get a little bit more in me. After thrusting with a 2" dildo and wiggling it around a bit, then I lubed up the triple ripple a LOT more lube than I have ever used before on a toy. I tried inserting it with my hand it just was painful trying to get the second bulb in, and still seemed impossible. I wouldn't give up I just felt so close. I set the on the table and sat on it and just drove it home, the stretching was painful, but as soon I felt the "pop" of the second bulb the pain went away and I felt nothing but pleasure and the reward of accomplishing something. After it was in I sat there just basking in the joy and accomplishment of the feat I had just completed. I then began pushing it back out and repeating the process of sitting down on it. It was finally working, because with each time the plug was being inserted, the stretching became less painful.

This was a good "tool" in my collection as it prepared me for my newest assignment: John Holmes UR3 Dildo.

Also, I have been playing with my ass for quite some time. So I know my limits and what can and can't be done. If you don't know your body or what your doing take it slow. You can seriously injure your self or tear your anus from stretching too fast (I have done it). If you see blood, STOP IMMEDIATELY!!!
