The Triple Ripple Royal is one toy that I have a lot of experience with. It has been part of my collection for over a year and it certainly has its purpose in my routine. This PVC-coated plug is best at stretching your bottom, getting it ready for taking larger objects with ease.

The bulk of the plug consists of three large bumps, each larger than the one before. The diameters of each bump are 1 3/4", 2 1/4", and 2 3/8" from top to bottom. The first bump can be a bit snug, but isn't much of a problem. The second bump, however, is more difficult to slip in. It can take multiple attempted sessions of stretching and relaxing to get this in. Don't force it. If you try, you can easily hurt yourself. Just take it slow and let your body adjust at its own pace. The final bump is a massive challenge for most intermediate and even some advanced users. Because it is so close to the base, it can't get very far in. Therefore, its only real purpose is to stretch the first inch or so of your rectum. Unfortunately, its rounded sides and straight design make it cumbersome for more targeted prostate stimulation. It works better to sit and slowly grind on for p-spot massage, but because the base is so close it can't penetrate very deep. This means it will not stay in on its own and lacks a deeper filing sensation.

The plug is made of an outer layer of PVC and an inner core of "Sil-a-gel". This means it is porous, and should be used with a condom or other toy cover. The outer layer gives off a moderate rubber smell when first purchased, but begins to wear off over time. It also gives it a nice sleek finish that glides smoothly when well lubed. Also, the sil-a-gel core keeps if nice and firm, but yields to a gentle squeeze remaining comfortable. There is no seam on the usable surface of the plug; only on the bottom of the base.

I typically begin with a small vibrator or manual massager to get my anus loosened up before i try to use this toy. To get this beast in, I recommend lying on your back with your legs up, almost in a fetal position. This helps move the pelvic muscles out of the way to prevent unnecessary discomfort. I start by slowly easing the head in and allowing myself to stretch and relax around it before starting to massage myself with it. Not pulling out, just probing around and relaxing my inner walls. Once I'm ready for more I start pressing it deeper, teasing with the second bump. Working it nice and slowly it is eventually able to slide in, too. Once the second bump is in and totally comfortable I usually stop since I just use it to stretch out. You can try to take the third bump if you like, but it doesn't add a whole lot more to the overall experience. Just a little more stretching, if your goal is to take on something extra large.

All in all, the Triple Ripple Royal performs its role quite well. It's nice and comfortable and is a tremendous help in loosening up for bigger things. However, if you are an anal novice, or looking for a plug plug, save yourself the pain in the anus and look elsewhere.
