useful reviewWhen I received my Gumdrops Triple Bubble, I was instantly surprised by the size. In looking at it on the website, it sure looked a lot smaller. It was made of PVC, and the bubbles were very solid. The base had a large flare, which gave me some comfort. Having some experience with anal play but never with a anal plug, I wasn’t sure how this was going to work, but I was ready to try.
My husband and I grabbed our favorite anal lube, Climax Bursts, and got ready. When he first started inserting it, it felt really good. He kept working it in and out, and I thought I was ready for the next bubble.
Then he tried to get it further inside of me. Maybe we didn’t spend enough time on the foreplay part of it, or maybe my husband just went too far too fast, but the second bubble felt like it was ripping my ass apart. I yelled for him to take it out immediately.
After a little rest and a little more coaxing on the part of my husband, I was ready to try again. Again, it started out all right, but trying to get the second bubble in was more than I could take. Plus, I had probably tensed up a little from the pain of the first time, so there was no chance it was getting in there that night.
However, even trying it a few times since, I haven’t been able to get past the second bubble. The thought of the third bubble is still very painful to me.
For the experienced butt plug user, this would probably be a great toy. I can imagine that the large circumference (six and a half inches) of the bubbles with the narrow places between would be a great turn on. For me, I think I’ll try a smaller plug before working my way back up to this one. It was the granddaddy of butt plugs, and I wasn’t ready for it.

- Were you relaxed and lubed up enough? Even some tension could really make anal penetration quite a bummer (no pun intended). Sorry that the plug was not for you. Personally, I think it looks kinda uncomfortable with that pointy tip, and i am quite experienced in anal play! Great review though.

- This toy does look like something for someone very experienced, as the bulges seem like they get wide very fast. I've found that with big toys it is absolutely essential to warm up with something smaller that's long enough to reach a couple of inches into the rectum. I wonder how the neck feels once it's inserted? It looks awfully short.

- This is good to know, as it doesn't really look that big on the site. In addition to the recommendations above, I would also recommend the small silk.
Leave a commentThis is definitely a toy for an ass-play pro. Since you've never used a plug before, I personally recommend something small and smooth. My first plug was the Silicone Crystal Cote butt plug so I can't help but recommend it~ the circumference is half the size of the Gumdrop and so much more suitable for a first timer. :)
Sleeping is definately right about a smaller plug. I've seen the gumdrops in person and it's pretty darn big. I would also recommend, in addition to her suggestion, the buddy plug: Vixen Buddy - it is small as well and made of silicone that can be sterilized by boiling.
