To be fair I definitely overestimated my abilities to take a toy of this sort, with my current experience with anal play. That being said, perhaps this toy is better marked as an expert toy.

Once I got this, I unboxed it. Nothing fancy, just a plastic box. Removing it there was a bit of a plastic smell, which has only slightly begun to fade as I've owned and used this. The Gumdrops bubble plug is a lot softer than I expected it to be, but still quite firm. The PVC material was quite comfortable. Even though the tip looks quite pointed, the narrow end makes it very easy to begin inserting.

Once I was ready to start the task of trying to insert this toy, I applied lube to it and it seemed to pool in the gaps between the "bubbles." Not necessarily a bad thing, as I was sure it would need extra there, but it's worth noting. The very end was no problem, nice and easy to insert and tease myself with. After this point, the one biggest drawback to this toy appeared. The bubbles just aren't tapered enough to be easy to take in.

The second and third bubbles (the third especially) are almost spherical, and definitely require more experience and training to be able to take. So with that in mind I tried a sit-on method, rather than a push-in method, and the pressure from that second bubble working itself in did admittedly feel good. Eventually, with a little patience, I was able to get the entire second bubble in, but the third one was just too big and too wide.

Once I convinced myself I was going to have trouble getting the whole thing in, I decided to just try playing with the toy in a number of ways. I found that laying on my back and pushing the toy against my ass with my hands felt surprisingly good, and one of the best sensations you can get out of this toy is that of removing it nice and slowly.

Cleaning it wasn't too hard, though the ridges between the bubbles like to make a mess. Since it's PVC it's not the best material in the world by far. If you're like me, though, and don't plan on sharing it, it works well enough.

For the price, it's tempting for a wide-eyed beginner or confident intermediate anal enthusiast looking for a challenge, but I would have to categorize this as an expert toy. Consider my rating a 2.5/5.

I will say that this toy was a misguided purchase on my part. I'm not going to condemn it for being an outright bad toy, I'm sure there are people out there who will love it, but it just hasn't done anything for me. I'd recommend it for more experienced anal players, but even then the material is rather lackluster for anyone experienced.
