Aluminum mini - butt plug discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by KrissyNovacaine

This is a matte aluminum butt plug. Due to its small size, the only real use for this is anally. It is small, so it is suited to long term wear. The tip can be sharp for some. I am not a petite person, and I got the smaller version because this is made from metal, so it won't bend to your anatomy. A lot of other reviewers report that the tip is uncomfortable when inserted, so I would honestly recommend the smaller size if you are unsure about which one to get. The larger size could become painful if it isn't a good fit for your anatomy.

This is made from aluminum. It has a matte, brushed finish that holds on to lubricants really well. The metal is cold even when at room temperature, so this toy can be used easily for temperature play. Just put it in warm or ice water for 15 minutes before use to do so.

The finish looks matte but feels very smooth. The plug is non porous and doesn't have any smell or taste to it. Being metal, it is obviously completely rigid so use caution with this toy.

I prefer plugs that have a spaded shape like this one. It makes insertion easier because the size is gradual. The dimensions of this toy were very east for me, but I am no longer a beginner. It is 3.5" tall with 3" being insertable. It is 4" in circumference at the widest part of it.

The gem is recessed in the bottom which makes cleaning a bit difficult. I had to use a toothbrush to scrub residual lube out of the area. The gem itself is a huge weakness. It looks cheap in comparison to the rest of the toy. It is at least put in very solidly, and I am not worried about it coming out.

This has no electronic functions at all. It is just a metal plug. That being said, I have no complaints about it as far as performance goes. For me, it was comfortable and easy to insert. It was actually really easy because there was no drag. This was my first metal plug, and I am loving it. It has a nice weight to it, but it isn't too heavy for long term wear at all. The base fits nicely for long term wear as well.

Aluminum can be cleaned with soap or toy cleaner and warm water. You can also put aluminum on the top rack of the dishwasher, but I am leery of doing that with this toy because of the plastic gem. Cleaning around the gem is difficult; I would recommend using a soft toothbrush to do so.

This is compatible with all lubricants, so you don't have to worry about that. It also doesn't need any special storage solutions. You can just toss it in with all you other toys or keep it in the original packaging.

The packaging itself is nice but not great. It is small which I like for storage. The lid is clear plastic, so you can see the toy through the lid. The lid is cluttered with logos and advertisements for Cal Exotics. The toy is actually in a cardboard box that it lined with foam and fabric, so once the lid is off, it actually looks really pretty. The box is 2.5", 1.5" tall, and 6.5" long. It is small and nice for storage. I just wish the lid was less tacky. I will be storing this in the packaging because I like it.
