The Aluminum Mini is a small metal butt plug. It has a simple cone shape with no fancy bells and whistles. It does have a gradual taper for easy insertion; especially for beginners!

It has a relatively small size so it is good for extended periods of time. It can also work well during intercourse and masturbation. This plug has a blue gem in a base which may make it a more 'feminine' plug than others available.

I gave this toy 4 stars because it is a little too pointy for me, some users find it uncomfortable and even a little dangerous if you normally use toys of a wider width.

This plug itself made out of Aluminum which rates an 8/10 on the safety scale. Aluminum can be a great material because of its resistance to corrosion and rust. It is also non-porous which makes it an easy toy to take care of (See Care & Maintenance). It is made out of a hard material so it has no give what-so-ever.

The finish is smooth and shiny with no seams, but there are visible mill/brush lines. It has no odors or awkward taste. This is also a good toy for temperature play because the aluminum will take on different temperatures. I would suggest soaking in warm or cold water. I would not put this toy in the freezer before use, but the fridge should be okay.

The gem however is a completely different material. It doesn't specifically say what it is made out of, but it just feels like a cheap plastic. The gem is also only glued onto the base; if you expose it to extreme temperature it will probably come off.

The Aluminum mini is available in 2 sizes: 3.5" and 4.5". The size determines only the length and the width remains the same. I purchased the 3.5".

Warning: I would not suggest this toy to anyone who is used to larger toys. The base is not big so it does pose a risk of being pulled inside. If you're a beginner, or just not used to large toys you should have no problems (I haven't so far).

This plug has a nice taper to it for easy insertion, especially for beginners. The 3.5" Aluminum Mini has 3" of insertable length; The base is approximately 0.5". The largest insertable width is 4" (1.25" diameter) and the base is also 4". The 'neck' has a circumference of 3/8" which then widens into the the 4" base. The toy is also relatively light, about 0.3lbs.

I think the gem is made out of plastic, however I'm not positive of that. It is a pretty blue color, but up close it does look cheap. I wasn't really thrilled with this gem, but it looks pretty from a distance. My gem actually fell out before I had the chance to use it once! I super glued it back in and it hasn't fallen out since. I don't know how it would hold up if I boiled it though.

Why so pointy!?

The only downside to this plug is the tip. It just too long to have that pointy tip; it can be quite uncomfortable at times. If your stand up or laying down, no problems! It's fantastic. However, If you want to move around and try different positions this is NOT the right plug for you. Every time I tried to sit down or move around I was greeted with an uncomfortable poking sensation; Not pleasant at all. I think if the toy was a little shorter it wouldn't be as uncomfortable (and I have the 3.5").

Other than that, it's a really nice plug. I had no problems easily inserting it because of the gradual taper. It also stayed in place the entire time because of the thin neck. I personally don't worry about it getting sucked in, but more experienced users might.

The gem is probably the hardest part to clean. If you boil it, or put it through the dishwasher the gem will likely fall out. The gem is also recessed into the base so I find it easiest to use a toothbrush to get down in there and clean it.

The rest of the toy can be cleaned easily. You can boil it, put it through the dishwasher, or even a 10% bleach solution. Just about any toy cleaners,wipes, or soaps are also safe. I also recommend you dry it off with some type of cloth before you put it away.

The packaging is small and nice for storage. The plastic lid slips off and the toy has a slot in a foam and satin lined box. I personally threw out the packaging and store mine in a soft pouch instead.
