Jaguar cuffs by ASLAN Leather - review by kuranta

I've only used these cuffs on a few occasions so far, but I'm excited to try them out more! The sturdy leather feels pleasantly heavy on my wrists. I did have some minor chafing issues, but you should be fine as long as you adjust them to the correct tightness and possibly use padding underneath if things are going to get rough. Also, since some of my partners are strict vegans, I can't use these cuffs with everyone. If you know a lot of people who are averse to leather, you may be better off with a similar product in faux leather.

The locking buckles are great. I actually had no idea at first that that was the reason behind the loops on the buckle, but I'm glad I figured that one out! Being locked in really adds to the experience for me. I get into the sub headspace much easier with that simple addition, and I know people who have subbed for me who feel the same. It's a great feature of these cuffs.

I've used these cuffs with rope, chain, and a variety of other materials, all with great success. They don't have built-in restraints, but I feel that it adds to their versatility. Just know that you will need other materials/skills: these are not grab-and-go restraints! That said, I'm pretty new to ropework and such, and I had a lot of fun experimenting with these.

I think I would have liked the black on black version of these better, but in the end color is not as important as construction, and these things are built solid. They're also pretty water resistant and easy to clean. I just wipe mine off with a wet rag after each use.

All in all, I've enjoyed these cuffs immensely. They do have some minor issues to think about (chafing, need for other materials, etc.), but I'm really happy with them.
