Some Serious Hardware

The Jaguar Cuffs are a great pair of cuffs that hold strong, are comfortable to wear, and look attractive. They can be a little difficult to get closed at first, but with more use, they break in really nicely.

extremely useful review
The Jaguar Cuffs are wrist cuffs made by Aslan Leather out of strong, softened leather. It definitely comes with the scent of leather nicely attached to it. Before I get too far into this review, I want to mention that the color of EF's pictures are off. The red I was expecting to receive was this nice, maroon like the pictures show. Instead, it's a pretty bright red. Imagine your typical "red", and that's the red this is. (See attached pic at bottom of review.) The cuffs are a foot long if you include the buckling strap, but if you don't, they're only about ten inches long. The cuffs are two inches wide. This comes in a basic plastic baggie for storage with a small "Aslan Leather" tag that's easy to take off.

Both sides of these cuffs are made from softened leather. There is no padding on the inside of the cuffs. The buckling leather strap isn't softened and is pretty stiff (and a bit thick for my tastes, but it will prevent it from tearing/stretchy, so I can't really complain.) There's a single D-ring firmly attached on each cuff to make it easy to attach these cuffs to other anchor points. Each buckle is made from strong metal, and each buckle is also locking which means that you can slide a small lock into the small "hoop" of the cuffs, and it will lock the cuffs onto your captive. (Just don't lose the key!) (It's hard to see the locking buckle on the red/black pictures, but the black/white ones have good shots of it.)

These fit on the second tightest setting for me (and my plus-sized wrists), so if you have large, male wrists, this may end up not fitting you. With the smaller, feminine-wristed boyfriend, he's on the tightest setting. The cuffs will most likely not fit most average body type's ankles. The first time you end up attempting to put these on, you may want to have some patience - the leather is definitely pretty firm and won't bend so easily. However, it's quite possible to leave them balled up in a size close to your partner's wrist, and they will become much more pliable and easy to use.

The cuffs hold strong to basically anything I can throw at them. Despite using them to hold down the boyfriend's full weight, there's not a single stretch mark in them. No matter how much he struggles, these don't even pretend to break. We originally wanted these to match our red/black collar, and they are perfect matches for each other. There is a small scratch from my fingernail in the black buckling leather on the outside, but otherwise, despite a full month's use, there's not a single "bad" thing about them. They don't even look used. If put on the right setting (and locked), it's impossible to take these cuffs off without the key. This means you should be careful with who you use these with or choose not to use the locking feature.

The cuffs are comfortable to wear which is always a plus. Even after long-term wear, his wrists weren't sweaty at all. They felt comfortable, and while not padded (so I wouldn't use these for awkward-wrist positions for long periods of time) this will work great for most bondage positions. These aren't intended for suspension nor should they be used for it. The Aslan Leather tag on the inside of one of the cuffs can end up being slightly scratchy, but if you just snip it off, that fixes that problem. The buckle ends up jingling, so during use, you'll have a slight jingle sound while walking or wearing. It's not really loud, so these cuffs still stay discreet.

Cleaning is easy - just wipe these down with a warm washcloth. I wouldn't use soap as it might harm the leather. I choose to store mine sitting in the circular shape since I only use these with the boyfriend and the leather is a bit tough, but you may want to store them laying flat. It can be hard to safely (for the leather) sterilize these after it gets near bodily fluid, so keep it away from bodily fluid unless you are only using it with the one partner.

The cuffs are definitely nice though. I wish I had received the color in the picture, but regardless, it still matches the collar and looks great. It holds amazingly during all sort of tough use, and I'm getting really fond of them as we use them. I wish they were padded, and I wish the buckling leather strap wasn't quite so thick, but both are small complaints, and overall, the cuffs are working great for everything we use them for.

Follow-up commentary
The Jaguar Cuffs are still some really nice cuffs. We use them a lot because they're nice and slightly plushy as well as they match a black and red collar we own. The leather has stayed nice and supple without going limp. They still fasten really nicely, and none of the leather has stretched either. It cleaned up nicely and doesn't have any stains. They fasten and stay fastened and are definitely a really nice pair of cuffs.
