Tantric Satin Ties ankle cuffs are satiny soft, smooth cuffs that should be used for VERY light bondage. They are made of polyester while the clasps are made of zinc alloy. The inside of the cuffs are black while the outside is red with black ribbon and bow decorations. The package states that they are intricate hand-sewn ribbons but I doubt they are actually sewn by hand. They are most likely stitched by a machine run by someone's hand, they're hardly "intricate". They have a bit of padding inside to make them more comfortable.

One of the cuffs has the clip and loop while the other cuff has the loop to hook it to. Only one cuff has a clip. I really wish they would have put clips on both cuffs. They can be used with the Tantric Satin Ties wrist cuffs to make them more customizable. If you buy both sets the ankle cuffs are slightly larger than the wrist cuffs, making it easy to distinguish what goes where. If they would have added clips to both cuffs you could use them with other products, like the Under Bed Restraint System. I was actually a little disappointed that we couldn't use them with that system.

I have smaller wrists and ankles. These cuffs run a little big on me and when they are tightened all the way there is a lot of remaining Velcro. The Velcro can easily snag the fabric so I recommend putting the cuffs on and cutting off the remaining Velcro to limit the amount of velcro that can snag the fabric. If they would have added a loop to make the velcro straps adjustable that would have been perfect!

The packaging for the Tantric Satin Ties ankle cuffs is a simple plastic "envelope". It shows a photo of a couple using both the wrist and ankle cuffs while standing around scantily clad. It also shows a photo of the cuffs with the name of them on the top. Inside the envelope the cuffs come in a plastic bag. The envelopes are made of good enough plastic to reuse if you would want to store your cuffs inside.

These cuffs are definitely meant for light bondage! The clips are not heavy duty enough to handle a lot of tugging and the Velcro can be easily undone. I definitely wouldn't recommend trying to walk around with these on because they'd probably be easy to break. The smoothness of the cuffs make them very easy to slip off.

The Tantric Satin Ties wrist cuffs are great for couples wanting to experience very light bondage and want something that looks a little prettier than plain black. They aren't the BEST cuffs out there but I think they are more meant to be pretty than effective.

I love that these can be used with the wrist cuffs although I would have liked them to have clips on both cuffs. I was really worried that I would break these cuffs so I didn't want to stand or walk with them on. These cuffs, like the wrist cuffs, ran large on me. I am 5'5", 125 lbs with smaller wrists and ankles. I ended up cutting off the excess velcro because I was worried it would snag up the fabric.

I personally enjoy being tied up and not having to worry about whether or not I will break the cuffs. I prefer these cuffs during foreplay and not during sex as things can get heated and they could break.
