Silken Dreams
The Japanese Silk Bondage Rope provides enough rope to do most basic rope harnesses, and it's in a material that is soft and sensual enough for most bondage uses. The ends are tied off which makes this rope perfect to use straight out of the box. If looking for a pretty-colored bondage rope for your kinky uses, Pipedream Products has produced a rope to suit your needs.Published: February 8, 2011
Pros:
Soft, Strong, Holds knots well, Pretty colors, Can be cut to smaller sizes
Cons:
May not be silk, Taped ends may come un-taped

This rope is okay, but it's certainly not one of my most favorite bondage ropes. We have other rope that we prefer more, and honestly, this one doesn't come out too much. The rope seems like it would be a lot better without the current ends that it has, and we quickly replaced those ends (which peel off) with electrical taping which has not peeled off in the slightest. It helps a ton.

"fetish fantasy series japanese silk rope" -- not silk
-
LazyNinjalink manufacturers page states that this rope is actually made out of cotton.
Talk about a misleading/lying branding system. Is Japanese Silk a trademark of theirs that they make out of chinese cotton?

'Silk' bondage rope listed under 'suspension kits'
-
Hey, Eden? I would like to respectfully suggest you remove this from the 'suspension kits' category. This type of rope is *not* safe for suspension. It's not real silk (Pipedream has confirmed it is actually a cotton/polyester blend), so can fray easily, stretch, and is just a poor idea if you don't want to risk dropping your submissive on their head.

I made sure to put in my review that the rope is not intended for suspension or partail suspension

what are they made of
-
This is a question that could easily be answered by reading the product page! If you just scan it really quickly you can see that hey, these silk ropes are made of rope! It also gives you a link explaining the care of the materials, which is this link! A lot of these questions are better left off of the forums! :)

But yeah, materials are always listed on the product's page, billybobtoy. It'll always be to the left of the product's picture, and it'll link to some basic care instructions. Though if you need more in-depth information, don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you for viewing Fetish Fantasy Series Japanese silk rope – restraints review page!

Besides being an awesome review, I'm so glad you mentioned the bit about faulty products! It'd be disappointing to get a torn up rope only to think they're all like that.
Of the cheaper products on Eden for rope...would you say this is the best beginner one?
Crap. I'm going to be getting the purple version as a freebie, and now I have to live up to this review.
@Vaccineum; haha. Don't worry about my review. It's a descriptive review which means there's really no personal opinion in it. It's supposed to provide *all* the details - and that's it. So just focus on your opinion on the rope for your review.
LOL stage fright!
I am thinking this might be the next step for us, I'd love to try some Shibari and this rope sounds soft enough to be pleasurable.
Great review and thanks for including the links to the rope bondage books.
Great review, I can't wait to grab a few of them!
Good review...
Thank you for reviewing! Awesome video and super thorough!
