Sinister Silky Stuff.
For the price, this is a pretty good deal for silk rope. The shiny silk makes for very comfortable and visually appealing bondage. I love using this for Japanese rope bondage techniques because my knots stand out and look gorgeous. It's not bulky. It doesn't chafe or leave rope burn. It's also pretty cheap. If you're one of the kinky kids out there, you need some of this right now.Published: September 14, 2011
Pros:
35' length, shiny, soft, comfortable, doesn't chafe, free blindfold.
Cons:
My rope was already frayed lightly, tape comes off ends easily.
Follow-up commentary
26 days after original review
After playing with this rope a bunch, it hasn't really started to show any wear like the cotton rope I have does. Granted, it's not as soft, but it does work for its intended uses. I've actually used this rope to teach a few other people to tie rope harnesses and such because it's easy to work with and see what you're doing. The only real issue I have with it is that the little silver pieces of tape like to come undone, but I'm probably going to take those off and replace them with electrical tape for less of a shoelace look.

"fetish fantasy series japanese silk rope" -- not silk
-
LazyNinjalink manufacturers page states that this rope is actually made out of cotton.
Talk about a misleading/lying branding system. Is Japanese Silk a trademark of theirs that they make out of chinese cotton?

'Silk' bondage rope listed under 'suspension kits'
-
Hey, Eden? I would like to respectfully suggest you remove this from the 'suspension kits' category. This type of rope is *not* safe for suspension. It's not real silk (Pipedream has confirmed it is actually a cotton/polyester blend), so can fray easily, stretch, and is just a poor idea if you don't want to risk dropping your submissive on their head.

I made sure to put in my review that the rope is not intended for suspension or partail suspension

what are they made of
-
This is a question that could easily be answered by reading the product page! If you just scan it really quickly you can see that hey, these silk ropes are made of rope! It also gives you a link explaining the care of the materials, which is this link! A lot of these questions are better left off of the forums! :)

But yeah, materials are always listed on the product's page, billybobtoy. It'll always be to the left of the product's picture, and it'll link to some basic care instructions. Though if you need more in-depth information, don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you for viewing Fetish Fantasy Series Japanese silk rope – restraints review page!

Thanks for the great review. There is so much fun stuff to try, but so little time.
Great review. I'd love to share with you that nylon and hemp are much better for lots of use with Shibari if you plan on using them a lot. If you just plan on using them once in a while this silk will work fine.
I already have some better rope for that. Just wanted to see what silk was all about. We don't really have too many offerings on here. I find cotton works a little better for getting knots to actually stay. Why can't we have nylon rope? It's so awesome.
Good to know about the materials for rope! Thanks for reviewing this product for us! I've never used silk, it sounds interesting, I like that it won't really leave marks behind, but it's too bad that it isn't the most sturdy of materials!
Thanks for sharing this great review!
I'm adding this to our cart!
Nice review!
Great review, I can't wait to grab a few of them!
Good review...
