Wibble wobble slush
Reality Female Condoms is a wonderful idea and is a fun type of foreplay. But it is hard to get it to stay put and stay on. And it has to be one of the loudest condoms you will ever try out.Published: May 2, 2011
Pros:
go for those with latex allergies
Cons:
hard to put on, loud during sex
This is review number twenty-eight in my condom review project.
I think that I have mentioned it before, but have you even had something that you looked at and thought, "why oh why did I even want to try this or do that?" The gods know that I have done that more than a few times. And I think that we have all been there before.
My whole stage of experimenting with condoms started out when I was in college and I have to admit that was more than a few years ago. But I am still in that stage. I'm of the attitude that you never know when you may find a condom that you are just going to totally fall in love with. So, I play with any kind of condom that I can get my hands on. I even braved female condoms more than a few times and every single time has been a total waste of time.
The last female condom that I tried out was Reality Female Condoms. The come in a pack of three condoms, with an instruction book and a little packet of sample lube. They are clear in color and are smooth in texture. They are actually made out of polyurethane, so they are non-latex for those women that have latex allergies. There is rings on either end of the female condom. The ring on the closed end goes around the base of the cervix and the open end ring will cover the outer lips of the vagina. The lube is water based and is made out of water, glycerine, carboxymethylcellulose, EDTA, methylparaben, tween80, and propylparaben.
I have to say that putting on Reality Female Condoms is more than a bit of foreplay. It is kind of a turn on to have someone put that on for you. However, they do feel really lose inside. It's kind of hard to get the closed end ring to stay put around the cervix and having the open end ring outside of the body and covering sensitive parts really detracted some. It also makes a lot of nose while having sex. That is more than a bit distracting. I know that I am much better with the sound of a very loud vibe than this noise while having sex.
Reality Female Condoms really is one of those things that I wish I never even tried out.

Follow-up commentary
4 months after original review
I really see no reason at all to go back to the Reality Female Condoms 3 Pack at all. I hated them so much when I tried them out and I really don't think I will change my mind if I try them out again.

Do you ever get used to using these? I always feel like something is not working right. At least when using a male condom it feels more ugh, snug.

Does anyone know why the female condoms are so much more expensive? I would love to use these so I could be more in "control" of things, but geesh!

I don't know! It's irritating, though, isn't it? I've noticed they're more expensive than male condoms just about everywhere you look. Probably they're more expensive because there isn't as much of a demand for them, so there's not a whole lot of competition driving down the price.
