I recently wanted to give female condoms a try. One reason being that the regular male condom is too wide in girth for my husband. I was not at all familiar with a female condom until reading up on the forms of birth control.

When I opened the box, I was surprised to see the size of each individual packet. I thought there was no way of putting one inside me. I was wrong. There are two rings in the condom. There is a ring inside the condom that I would compare to the size of the period cup, not as thick though. The exterior ring is the condom itself. It is much larger around. This is to prevent it from going inside the vagina.

I then tried it out. This first condom did not do well for me since I had never used one before. I tried using it in conjunction with a dildo and it felt as if something were blocking my vagina. The second time around, I tried a squatting position to insert the condom. It felt better, but during intercourse, my husband said it felt rough. He suggested taking the inner ring out, but that is the purpose of the female condom. The inner ring helps it to stay in place.

On the third try with thus product, I inserted it laying down, taking care to not twist the material, and made sure the ring sat just behind my pubic bone. The says are: practice makes perfect and third time's the charm, right? Well, it's true! This time around worked great! My husband had not one complaint. Both my husband and I are very happy with this product. My husband is happy that I am the one wearing the protection now.

Take care when using this product. The outer ring is flimsy. It could skip into the vagina easily.

The material is made of a nitrile compound, not natural rubber latex.

Since my last use of this product, my lady parts have gotten a bit irritated. I no longer use this product. I may or may not try it again in the future.
