Keep It Simple
Tantus' modest and unassuming Hank Dong is a go-getter in a shy yes-man's clothing. Assertive and committed to zeroing in on your G or P spot, this 100% silicone beauty is an inexpensive and reliable addition to any well rounded toy box. He may not look like much upon first sight, but give him a second and even a third look before dismissing this little hunk of Hank.Published: April 1, 2011
Pros:
Non-porous, easy to clean/share, great curve, moderate size, harness compatible
Cons:
Let me know if you find one?
Have you ever had one of those friends, one you've known for years and never really looked twice at? Then one day the light hits their hair just so, they flash those familiar eyes and boom - you realize true love was in front of your face all along.
What, that's never happened to you? Yeah, me either. But I saw it in a movie once.
Anyway, meeting Tantus' Hank Dong is probably the closest I'm ever going to get to that tried and true romantic comedy format. The familiar, unremarkable looking dildo that I've looked past so many times while browsing Edenfantasys...well, one day it caught my eye. "Oh. Have you always looked this good?" I decided I needed to take Hank home and see if this was just an infatuation or if there was really a connection there.
And? Oh boy was there. Hank is a beautiful 100% silicone dildo that comes in two skin tone choices - a light skinned brown and a very, very light skinned white. I got mine in the lighter "beige" but it was far too light to match my skin tone in a harness. Luckily, I ended up loving this so much for solo use that I don't much feel inclined to share it with my partner. The silicone is a matte, a fairly inflexible one that doesn't have a lot of give. Its diameter is 1.5" - a moderate girth by my standards, but make sure you're up every millimeter for it because this material isn't going to yield much for you.
Hank is textured too, but subtly, and somewhat strangely. There are wiggling grooves of shallow depth that carve almost imperceptibly down the shaft - and certainly can't be felt in use. But to the eye that add a point of interest and the appearance of veins at a glance, though without much realism upon closer inspection. The testicles have a spongy appearance, and a deep valley where they meet the shaft where the O-ring can easily slide in and stay nice and secure during strap-on use. All in all, the textures are somewhat curious to me. They don't add much to the overall sensation during use and yet there's something kind of quirky about them that I like. The strange asymmetry created by the dip above the balls too. It looks somewhat imbalanced as a result...like Pisa or the Earth on its axis. Too romantic? Okay, sorry.
But I love this thing! He just fits so nicely. He's an ideal 6.5" inches in length - not too long and not too short - although only 5.5" are insertable. I'm a girth gal anyway, so this hardly bothers me. Which is why Tantus' Hank was a shockingly good fit for me. When I crack open my toy chest for play time my eyes gravitate toward monstrous 2"+ dildos in girth...toys that I have to work up for for a good half hour and mess my hands, thighs and sheets up with lube for. I love this toy because something about its simple composition charms me, its slight but noticeable curve, its gently bulging head that doesn't catch labia or pubic bones...something about it that makes me reach for it time and time again. No lube needed (the 1.5" inches feels smaller to me in use, more like 1.25" to my body) and very little warming up. Once aroused, he slips right in and gets to work.

Experience
While pretty much any dildo with a decent base should be "harness compatible" I find this point worth mentioning with Hank because he's kind of, well, awesome in this way. That little dip above the balls has made pegging pretty dreamy for me so far. My ASLAN Commando is my stand-by for dildos with testicles, but without a proper front panel for the toys to rest against there can be some chaffing if the toy rocks about too much. The Hank sits perfectly in place because the O-ring slips right into place inside this testicular nook which make the whole affair very secure and extremely comfortable. That means my partner can get down and dirty, licking the textured balls, roughly fellating the shaft, and not have to worry about going at it too hard.
Overall I was really blown away with this dildo. Its appearance is common upon a cursory glance but it's proven to be a really special toy that vibes wonderfully with my body. It's not a groundbreaking, life-changing cock, but it is a fantastically reliable one that gets the job done wonderfully every single time. I couldn't be happier that I finally gave Hank a second look, but we have developed an amazing chemistry.

Call him boring, but my partner and I still get a kick out of Hank. He's just...reliable. A simple, realistic dildo that's easy to clean and care for and always hits the spot. It fits so nicely in a harness, whereas a lot of dildos with balls do not. It is perfect for very firm stimulation of the G-spot or P-spot and it's...just a great staple of our collection. It's not necessarily an OMG write home toy, but it's a wonderful standby.

hank's squish factor?
-
How much give is there in the silicone for Hank by Tantus? Is he as squishy as the regular Tantus dildos or is he more firm, less firm?
-
Firmer than the regular Tantus dildos.

Tantus Hank

I would say I'm intermediate at anal stimulation. Lately I've been using the Tantus Acute (1.25 inches diameter), which I really love. Now I want to try a larger size (1.5 inches in diameter), and I've been looking at the Hank dong since it looks very realistic. Would the Hank be a good choice for a larger dildo?

You can boil it, bleach it or toss it in the top rack of your dishwasher.
I like Tantus silicone because it has a good amount of give, which for me, would be a plus when starting out with a new, larger diameter toy for anal play.
It looks like Hank also has a good wide base so really, I can't think of any reason not to recommend this to you if that's the size you're ready for. Go for it! -
I don't know why, but I started thinking about how funny it would be if this dildo was called the Tantus Bocephus. That is really cracking me up at the moment :)

Hank dong realistic dildo
-
ChatoI would prefer something for anal and vaginal. Would the Hank be a good dual purpose dildo? -
PospersQuote: I would prefer something for anal and vaginal. Would the Hank be a good dual purpose dildo?Yes, Hank is great in the vagina and the ass...assuming that you have some ass experience. -
This is a good choice for an advanced anal user. Hank is a little bit above average size and if you are a beginner or even intermediate user in anal play I wouldn't recommend it. It is always better to use smaller size for anal play like Happy valley realistic (AL0320STVB) which is thinner. If realistic shape is not a must than Mistress (VXNMP) from Vixen Creations or a Boy 1(B1E01PU) are good options. With all of them don’t forget that toys from anus should never go to vagina without proper cleaning and disinfection which is a breeze with silicone toys!

Nice review!
Thanks for the great review!
I'll take reliable over earth shattering once in a while any time.
Oooo! I have Hank too, and he is one of my favs! I have some really big realistic dongs, but Hank is "just right". It's a really great price for those looking to try silicone, as they can be expensive. He's my man's fav to use on me orally
Nice review!
Thanks for the comments everyone
Wonderful review - thank you!
Great review I love your writing
Great review!
TY!
great review!
This is an awesome review. I especially love the pegger's point of view---I can see how this would work nicely in the sort of harness with a driver's pad (which luckily describes mine!)
Excellent review! Hank is one of my favorites.
Having recently gotten into realistic toys, this is so next on my list.
I like how you described him from the beginning. It makes it easy to understand the way you feel about him! He definitely sounds worth a shot.
Thanks for the review!
