-Packaging/Impressions-

Between my partner and I we have well over three dozen Tantus toys so we are always looking to expand our collection. The Hank was interesting for us as it is a little smaller than some toys my partner has been playing with recently.

If you have ever ordered a Tantus toy before then you know exactly what to expect with regards to packaging. The toy arrives is a see through plastic container with the toy held in place by a plastic insert. The outside of the box has the usual Tantus red. There are some facts and information about silicone on the back.

Overall the packaging served its purpose in getting the toy here in one piece. While I liked that you can see the toy straight away when it arrives the plastic packaging is pretty cheaply done.

-Material/Specifications-

The Hank is available in beige and brown. We chose beige. To be honest the beige is more of a pale white colour akin to milk, from what I can see the brown version is closer to beige than the one we got. It is fairly realistic in size and design and even has a set of balls at its base. There is a flap of material above the balls that seems a little out of place as the toy isn’t particularly designed for strap-on play. It is slightly textured but not overly so and is complete with a bulbous head. The head feels shiny while the shaft has more of a matte finish. The toy has a decent amount of give to it lower down but the head is quite firm.

The toy is made from 100% silicone. This is a great material as it is medical grade, hypo-allergenic, latex and phthalate free. Being silicone it is also odourless and tasteless. What this means is that the silicone doesn’t have any harmful chemicals and won’t take in bodily bacteria during use. As I said the toy is fairly average in size and a good analogue for a penis. Its dimensions are as follows.

Overall Length = 6 ½ Inches
Insertable Length = 5 ¾ Inches
Circumference = 5 ½ Inches

-Use-

While my partner has used some longer and wider toys lately such as the Tantus T-rex she found this toy to be more than adequate. The toy is has a gradual taper into a wider bulbous head and as described by my partner is very filling. It is not exceptionally girthy but the gradual widening coupled with the firmness of the head make it very pleasing. The balls at the base are small enough to be gripped easily. This makes thrusting and applying pressure to the g-spot quite comfortable for extended play sessions. The curve of the toy is realistic and not an overly severe or exaggerated curve like you can get on some toys.

Using the toy anally is comfortable enough. While it is firm and of average girth it is on the shorter side so lengthwise it was ideal for me. The balls on the base make it safe enough to use as they provide a wider base to prevent it from getting lost. The matte finish and slightly textured shaft provide a lot of stimulation during anal or taken vaginally.

The design makes it seem like it wants to be a strap-on compatible but it simply doesn’t work well with o-ring harness’s as the balls are in the way. Both my partner and I could have done without the extra bit of material.

As there is a matte finish on the shaft you might want to use some lubricant. Make sure you only use water or oil based lubricants as silicone ones can damage the finish of silicone toys.


-Care/Storage-

Once you are finished with the hank then cleaning is fairly simple. As it is silicone it can be sterilised by boiling in a saucepan or putting it in the top rack of a dishwasher. For everyday cleaning just use warm water and mild antibacterial soap or specialist toy cleaner. There is a slight hollow/crevice where the balls meet the toy so make sure to pay extra attention to this spot when cleaning.

Make sure the toy is dry before storing it. What we find works best for long term storage is a zip-seal sandwich bag. These are ideal as they don’t take up much extra room but keep the toy clean and free from dust when not in use. Additionally they keep other toys from reacting with the silicone of the hank.

-Summary-

I didn’t really know what to expect from the Tantus Hank and to be honest we were both pleasantly surprised by how it performed. While the little extra bit of the base that is desgined to make it harness compatible falls a little short this toy isn’t designed to be strap-on compatible so this wasn’t a problem for us. The material is top quality and completely safe. The shape works well to stimulate the user during play. The texture provides nice stimulation without being too rough.

It is very average in size and shape, very comparable to a penis. As I said even if you like larger toys the design and firmness works well together. If you like great intermediate toys then I highly recommend this.
