While a strap-on harness is most traditionally thought to be geared towards a lesbian couple, we have begun to see more and more straight males open up to the idea of strap on sex. This was but one use we had in mind when purchasing this harness. We were looking for a comfortable harness that was both EXTREMELY adjustable and comfortable, and we found it in the Joque by SpareParts.

The first thing that stood out to us was the material the harness is made from. The straps are a very soft cloth material which use a combination of velcro and elastic to securely anchor itself. Our biggest concern coming from a couple (expensive) leather harnesses was strap comfort. We are both of larger build and found that the thinner leather straps were very uncomfortable after 20-30 minutes of wear. The front panel of the harness is made from a very soft bathing suit-like material.

As soon as we got it, we decided to fit it to my wife and realized the number one draw to the straps of this harness. Once you fit the main straps you never have to "re-fit" that person again. The harness comes with two smaller tension straps that you can tighten or release to make fine adjustments to the fit. This makes it very easy to grab, slip on, play, and slip off again.

Once you're finished with your play it's easy to take this harness straight to the washing machine, toss it in and give it a quick wash.

The straps of this harness are the most adjustable of any harness we've ever owned. Each side features a large soft elastic strap which secures to the waist part by velcro. This is your large adjustment, when you first put the harness on you'll be adjusting these straps to find a comfortable snug, but not tight fit. Once you've made the large adjustment you'll move to two smaller straps on the waist part. These are your fine adjustments, they can take the fit from snug to tight. This system is frankly genus, with a simple flick of the plastic buckle you can let out the slack till it's just perfect.

The Joque features two leg straps (hence the name. . . Joque . . . jock) as opposed to a g-string or 4 strap design. The leg straps are very comfortable and adjust easily featuring the same small buckles as the fine adjusters on the waist strap. My wife wore this harness to a local munch and the play party afterwards. In total, she wore the harness for 6 hours including an hour of pegging with it. Afterwards, she said she barely felt it on her and at times even forgot she was wearing it.

The front pouch is where the action happens, this harness uses an elastic o-ring on the front that is designed to fit various sized dildos and vibrators. We found, however, that anything over 1.75 inches was slightly difficult to fit through the opening. The ring itself is lined with the same swim suit material and as you push the dildo through the opening you'll find that it gathers dust particles very easily. We found that if we pushed the dildo through the ring, we had to wash the dildo before use to get all those dust bunnies off. The BEST way in our opinion to use the harness was by squeezing the base/suction cup/balls through the o-ring itself. Anything over 2 inches wide and you'll need a suction cup base as it gets exceedingly difficult to push large dildos through the opening. This is our only complaint with the harness, as I am a bit of a size queen and we have several larger dildos we like to use with the harness.

The Joque comes in a standard and plus size model, which I LOVE. We've wasted a lot of money on inferior harnesses only to find out they don't fit right. We are both bigger people and it's frustrating at times trying to find products that fit just right.

We ended up ordering the plus model, and I do regret this slightly as it's actually a bit too large. Its fit is pretty much spot on for the size chart but the chart doesn't really take the elastic into play. If you are also right there on that border line for the standard size and plus size, I recommend going with the smaller size. The elastic will easily accommodate (comfortably) a waist size several inches larger than the maximum size.

The performance of this harness was spectacular from both a receiving and giving standpoint. I cannot talk enough about just how comfortable this harness is. While my wife had no problems with using this harness, I found it a bit odd and had to make some adjustments to make it work for me. Keep in mind though, we purchased this harness before the male version from SpareParts was released.

The second thing you'll notice about this harness is how well it holds up to vigorous play. Even with our largest and longest dildo in the harness, it held up very well while just standing around as well as thrusting. Several of our harnesses prior to this one have been flimsy or otherwise pulled away from the body when thrusting. Additionally, this is the ONLY harness we've ever used that works extremely well with the double ended style strap on dildos (such as the Feeldoe line). There is an actual pouch design that allows you to slide the double style dildo all the way through the harness, and when you're not using that particular feature you can close that flap to protect the wearer from the dildo rubbing directly on their skin.

Like any strap-on harness, it will get exposed to body fluids, lube, and other undesirables. This is one downside to the swimsuit like material; while soft and very comfortable, it does wick up moisture very easily. If texture and moisture bother you then you might have a small problem with this harness.

Compared to other harnesses, the Joque by SpareParts is very easy to take care of. It washes very easily in your laundry machine, and due to the lack of any metal buckles or parts, you can even throw it in with your regular laundry. I would still avoid throwing it in the laundry with dedicates, we tend to wash ours with our jeans.

A quick toss in the dryer and it's good as new. You can store your harness in the supplied pouch, a drawer, on the floor, or wherever else your imagination allows.

The harness comes in an unmarked brown box, which is very discreet. Once opened we found the harness was enclosed in a soft bag made from the same material and color as the harness itself. At first, we stored the harness in it's bag, but after the 10th time getting it out we decided to just leave it out in a drawer. However, the bag makes for a really nice dildo pouch. We have several glass and metal toys we try to keep in soft pouches (usually crown royal pouches) to prevent scratches and chips.

The harness itself did not come with any extra instructions but we had already found an instruction video on the SpareParts website prior to purchasing.

We bought this harness looking for something that fit, was comfortable, and looked stylish. We hit two of the points and fell just short of the stylish. We ordered the pink variety and I regretted it as soon as it arrived. It doesn't go with any of our existing lingerie or fetish clothing and is actually a little gaudy for our tastes.

Despite this, we actually got many compliments from the local fetish community at a party (which is unusual in a crowd that lauds leather and latex on average) and ended up fielding many questions and letting a few people try it on (over clothing/underwear of course).

Since purchasing the Joque, we haven't even touched one of our other harnesses (including a $130 custom made leather harness). The first night we had it was spent using the hell out of it. We tried using it in a variety of positions and each one was just as pleasant as the last.

On several occasions, I've used the harness on her, and other than having to make some special adjustments, it works well. Not great, but it works.
