Swirled blue dildo - glass dildo by Don Wands - review by Jessica (Buttercup Green)

Use:

This gorgeous blue dildo by Don Wands is great to use for many things. The dildo has a slight curve, which hits the G-spot just right. Because there is a flared base, this toy is safe to put in your butt. The flared base also works great for setting it upright on your night stand, desk, sink, and any other flat surface you can think of. The swirled texture is great for rubbing the clit and nipples. Keep in mind that this toy is glass. There is no give whatsoever. If you know that you have a shallow vagina, please be careful when thrusting. When using this toy, my husband was thrusting it pretty hard and fast. It did not hurt at all. I never felt it hit my cervix. I just ask that when you begin to experiment with this toy, or any other glass toy, that you take it nice and slow the first couple of times. Learn what works best for you and your body.


Material/Texture:

As said above, this dildo is made out of 100% Pyrex Glass. While it is very hard and unyielding, glass is as safe as it gets (besides silicone of course). Pyrex Glass is nonporous, but if you're sharing with other partners please still use a condom. Glass has no smell or taste, which is great if you want to give your dildo a little blowjob action. Silicone, water, and oil based lubes are all okay to use with this blue wonder. If the glass does manage to break, it will break into large pieces. Pyrex Glass does not shatter into a million pieces. That being said, make sure you check any glass dildo before each use for any cracks or breaks in the glass. If you find any, do not use this toy anymore. Glass is great for temperature play. For cold sensations, stick it in a bowl of cold water for a couple of minutes. If you like warm sensations, do the same thing, but with a bowl of warm water.
The dildo has blue swirls all along the shaft. The swirls are raised enough to be felt, but not enough to be irritating or uncomfortable.


Design/Shape/Size:

Well it all begins with a large bulbous head. The head has a nice tapered tip, which makes for easy insertion. After that comes the wonderfully swirled shaft. As you can tell from the online pictures, the swirls are tight and close together. Need I say more?
The total length of this dildo is 7-1/2", with a 7" insertable length. The Swirl has a 1-1/2" diameter on its widest part (the head). Glass is fairly heavy, and this toy is no exception. It weighs in at about 1 lb.
Honestly, I would not change a darn thing about this toy. It has it all for me. I hereby name this toy perfection.
For someone who is new to glass, I might suggest something a little smaller diameter-wise. The head can feel overwhelming on the first try. Once in, though, it gives you a nice full feeling.


Care/Maintenance:

Glass is the easiest material to take care of. That is just my opinion. I simply clean it with warm water and antibacterial soap or toy cleaner. I dry it off with a cotton towel, and then it is off to the storage pouch. I have noticed that the swirls need a little more attention. Because they are so close together, the swirls collect lube and other bodily fluids. The little attention to detail when cleaning does not take away from the toy. Again, that is my opinion. Some people hate cleaning toys that require a little work. That is totally understandable, but for me the positives definitely outweigh the negatives.

This dildo comes with a padded storage pouch. Mine is a very light blue color, and is adorable. I really love these pouches. They are very, very padded. The pouch makes me feel very comfortable traveling with it. I don't have to worry about it. The pouch has a drawstring on it too. You can close it up and not worry about it slipping back out.


Packaging:

The Don Wands dildo came in your everyday plastic clamshell-like package. Because you can see the dildo through the plastic, this is not discreet at all. There is a little Care Card, which gives you some basic information on how to take care of your new glass toy.
The Care Card tells you to never microwave or freeze your glass dildo because such extremes could cause frost bite or burns. Don Wands even gives you a free sample of Wet silicone based lubricants. How nice!
