Ribbed twister - dildo by SSA Glass - review by Waterfall

The Ribbed Twister is a wonderful glass dildo that stands out in my collection for many reasons, but the main one is because of the handle. This one is an average size and easy for anyone to use. It works well for stimulating the g-spot, teasing the clitoris with the slight texture, and because of the base and handle it is safe for anal play. Glass is a great material, however it is firm so caution should be taken when thrusting to not hurt any delicate internal tissue.

Glass, my favorite material, is completely non porous and body-safe and has no bad smell or taste. It is firm, which is great for those who enjoy firm pressure on all the right spots. It works well for temperature play. Even though it is still cold up here in New England, I like using my glass toys a little cooler (just let it sit in cold water for a little bit) and then feeling the difference as they slowly warm up.
The head is perfectly smooth to the touch, while the shaft has some raised blue and yellow swirls. In my opinion this is a very gentle texture and provides just the right amount of extra stimulation. The swirls feel nice as the toy is inserted and as I rub it on my g-spot. I used this one anally and the texture feels more pronounced, but not in a way that is uncomfortable. Overall this texture is great for beginners and advanced users alike.

The Ribbed Twister is a total of 9 inches, with about 5 inches being insertable. The rest of the length is made up of a straight handle with a small ball on the end which is very easy to keep a good hold of.
I find this to be a good insertable length because I found that I did not have to worry very much about hitting my cervix if I got too into thrusting. At the largest part of the head it is almost 1 1/2 inches in diameter, however the shaft is closer to 1 1/8 inches in diameter. I really liked the size and would recommend it for everyone. I used it for mainly for vaginal use, but after warm up with a 1 1/4 inch anal toy I was able to use it anally as well. I would just say to use slow motions due to the texture.

As I mentioned, one of my favorite aspects of this design is the handle. The slight curve to the shaft already makes this one great at finding and stimulating my g-spot, but the handle allows me to apply even more pressure which feels amazing! Another reason the handle is fun is that it lets me lay or sit in a more comfortable position than I can with other toys that are shorter.

Although this one is glass, it does look kind of realistic because of the head and the shape. So, keeping it away from nosy eyes is a good idea.

I can't say enough about how well this one has performed for me on every occasion that I have used it! The combination of shape, size, texture, and the ability to apply extra pressure to my g-spot leads to me having an amazing orgasm. I can't say that I would have liked it as much if any one of these features would have been missing.Depending on how I used it, I was able to orgasm quickly or to have a longer session with teasing and a nice build up. Caring for glass toys is very easy. To clean them just use anti-bacterial soap and water or a toy cleaner spray/wipe. If you want to sanitize them then a 10% bleach solution, a run through the dishwasher (top rack,no soap), or boiling will work.

My Ribbed Twister fits very well in the bag that was provided. I was surprised that it did because it is longer than most glass toys. Because the bag is not very padded, I keep it in one of my drawers to protect it even more.

Whenever I order a toy from SSA Glass it is always a surprise for what type of packaging I will get. I was a lot more pleased with this one than I was with my last toy from them. It came wrapped in bubble wrap inside of a black suede-like bag, no instructions were included. Although the bag is not overly padded, it is thicker than the red one that I received with my Gold Laced G.

I have to say that I feel more in control when using the Ribbed Twister, which is due to the handle, so I get a little crazier with this one in comparison to my other glass toys. I find that I like more shallow, but fast thrusting. I would be more apprehensive about using faster thrusting with another glass toy because I wouldn't have as much control. There is no ridge or anything to get in the way while it slides in and out, and the quick motions on my g-spot feel divine. The way my body is shaped, also allows me to do a little bit of dual stimulation. When the shaft is in a certain position, the texture close to the base rubs on my clit. I love doing this, but I am not sure that it will work for everyone.
