Having had my fair share of glass toys in the past, I was looking for something different. The next glass toy on my list to be conquered was a glass dildo with a handle - a wand, as they're affectionately called. The Ribbed Twister Dildo made by SSA Glass is about as perfect as you'll find.

To begin with, the toy weighs in at 9.7 ounces. You feel the weight in your hand while using it, but it doesn't weigh so much as to tire your arm out while it's in use. The weight is concentrated mostly at the bulbous head and the middle tang portion, where the shaft connects to the handle. Though it looks long at 9 1/4 inches in total length, remember that it's just the shaft that is insertable. The shaft portion is 5 1/4 inches and about the perfect length. The insertable shaft slightly curves up, making for a delightfully g-spot experience while still stimulating the entire vaginal region.

The handle itself is short and unobtrusive, but there's a slightly flared base that sits right above your hand. With the oh-so-flared base this toy could possibly be used for anal penetration as well as vaginal penetration, but please be careful with that. I strongly caution you when introducing the Ribbed Pleasure into your anal playing. The base of the handle has a ball that keeps your hand firmly on the base when thrusting this dildo. Unless you coat it in lube or become extra slippery for some other reason, I don't see this toy slipping out of your hand. Remember, PLEASE use extreme caution when attempting to use this as anal dildo.

The shaft of the dildo has twisting, slightly raised texture that runs from right below the bulbous head to just at the base of the insertable portion of the shaft. They end at the slightly flared base. The twists are blue and yellow. They provide some stimulation, but I didn't feel them beyond initial insertion much. I enjoyed the initial sensation and also love the look of the twists.

Glass, this one being made from a glass-like substance named Pyrex, is a great material for sex toys to be made from. It's easy to sanitize by boiling it or adding some bleach to the solution. Always remember to thoroughly wash your sex toys before and after use with antibacterial soap and warm to hot water. If you plan on using toys with multiple partners in one session, also remember to use them with condoms so you maintain safety. Glass is non-porous, phthalates free and hypo-allergenic. It is one of the most body-safe materials toys can be made from. You won't get any allergic reaction by using this toy if you use it properly.

Any type of lube can be used with this dildo, ranging from the always popular water-based to the long lasting silicone-based lubricants. There is no danger of the material interacting with any lube.

Another great feature about glass is the possibility to use it with mild temperature play. Always be safe about it though; when warming your glass toys, be sure to only warm them under tap water and not by any other means. This will ensure the glass doesn't get too hot and burn your sensitive regions. To cool this toy down, you can either run it under very cold water for a short while or stash it in the fridge for a moment or two. Because the dildo is glass, handling it roughly or letting it directly hit other hard materials might chip it. Chips on sex toys can only lead to very bad things. The bag is faux purple suede on the outside with a hot pink polyester satin lining cover. The actual padding to the bag is cotton. The drawstrings are lovely black twisted cords. I believe this bag is similar to the bags Eden Fantasys sells separately or at least they look similar on screen.

The Ribbed Twister is an excellent option if you're looking to invest in a glass toy that is easy to handle and comes with its own storage medium.

I love this wand! I've found myself using it more and more. The handle cannot be easier to use or more ... well, handy. It's angled so it hits my g-spot just right and also makes for a great anal dildo as well. The glass is slippery enough to not need a ton of lube, but also easy to clean. I use it in the shower with just a dab of silicone lube for really great penetration. The bulbous head fits perfectly in either my vagina or ass and really feels great. For the price, this is a great option for a handled wand glass dildo.
