Glass Isn't Just For Cups

Pros:
Wider base, glass means disinfection, can be put in the fridge or in warm water for sensation play.
Cons:
Head made penetration a little more difficult; pain to clean up.
I was excited to receive this product; it was my first experience with glass and I was intrigued by the possibilities. The first fatal error of this product, though, was in the carrying case. While I understand it's a bonus--it may have been better to leave it out. The case was ugly and bulky, but I don't put a pouch in my pussy so I put that to the side and focused on the glass. It was a thing of beauty, let me tell you. The swirls were beautiful, the head was glass and I wanted to fuck it.
Unfortunately, I'm really a klutz, so as soon as I removed it from the packaging, I dropped it directly onto the un-carpeted floor.
And it didn't break.
That? Definitely a plus for those of us who are less balanced than others, as well as for people who are going to have rough sex and are more likely to have things fall off the bed.
And I did use it, eventually, using the Blueberry Buzz vibe with it. The curve of the dildo made for some really nice gspot action and the wider base means it can be used for both vaginal and anal play.
The swirls that I had admired for their aesthetic value also added to my enjoyment of the toy; the sensations were unlike anything I've experienced with a different toy, and the coolness of the glass was great. Can't wait to put that in the fridge!
However, clean up was kind of a pain; I had to really scrub it to get the lube out of all the little swirly parts, but because it's glass I know I can toss it in the dishwasher and not worry about bacterial growth.
It was a little large for my taste, but I find most toys to be too big.

The swirled glass dildo was the first glass toy I bought, and my introduction to anal toys as well.
This has become one of my favourite toys in my Toy Trunk, because it is just perfect. From the fat head to the base and everywhere in between.
If you are looking for your first glass toy... this is the one I would strongly recommend!!!

Not Getting the Extended Review Template

I recently purchased this and I was starting my review just now and it won't let me use the extended review template. Looking at the other reviews I see I am not the only person who this happened to, well more than likely since I'm not seeing the extended template used. Does anyone know why? It isn't a huge deal, I'm just curious.

What do you think the deal is with the WIDE pricing for glass toys?
They are all the same material obviously and some are fancier than others but sometimes two can look exactly the same and be a difference of $200.
I recently bought TWO glass toys for a total of $20 and that included shipping. -
It's mostly a question of process (how decorated is the toy, how complex is it to make the decoration, is it handmade, where is it made), but at the extreme low end there is a bit of material difference - tempered soda/lime glass vs. borosilicate glass.

I'd wanted a glass toy for a long time and didn't want to shell out the big bucks for it. I spent about $28 dollars for a similar toy to the one you linked. It's fabulous.

Please don't post duplicate threads on the forums.
The deal with it is that they are made by different manufacturers, and the cost varies widely. Some are hand blown, others are not. Some even contain gold dust. If you look at the Properties tab, you will find that not all glass is alike or equal. That would be like saying every metal dildo or toy is the same - it's just not that simple. -
Also, as some sex toy reviewers are unfortunately finding out, some toys are actually not 100% glass. Some companies fill their toys with water so that they remain "glassy" looking, but don't require as much material.

Miss Alice--It does cushion the toy, and I can appreciate that, because a broken toy is certainly of no use to me, but I wish it had been a little more aesthetically pleasing. For such a beautiful toy to be in such an ugly case seems an offense!

I just thought the pouch was bulky and superfluous-- the one I got was a pastel blue but the cotton was coming out of the top; it wasn't well made. For a pouch that comes with the toy, it was fine, but it did detract from the overall aesthetics of the product.
You said you thought it was a bit big, in which way? I love glass and this one looks really cool!
It was very large around, the circumference is 4.75 inches and that was a little bigger than I was able to comfortably take. The head is also notably larger than the shaft, which made it exceptionally difficult to remove after use, once my muscles tightened up.
It was definitely worth getting, but for me, I have to be very very relaxed to take it.
