King pin swirl - dildo discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by ~LaUr3n~

The King Pin Swirl was one of those last second impulse buys at the check out. It was on deep discount sale and I was sucked in by the shape and the unique copper color. This toy is great for anal or vaginal stimualtion. Because of the design, it is safe for anal being that it drastically increases in diameter. just be conscious of the end of the toy. I never went past the swirls. The texture of the King Pin feels awesome anally, and even vaginally although it was enough for me to achieve orgasm. I recommend this to women who don't require lots of girth for their vaginal toys of for those who love anal toys with fun texture.

The King Pin Swirl is made of a new Sil-A-Gel formula. It is latex and cadmium free as feel as non-toxic and anti-bacterial. While this improvements are awesome, it is still is porous and a condom is recommend for use when sharing, switching between anal and vaginal play, and it's a bad idea for solo use either. A condom fits easily over the end. The Sil-A-Gel is pretty nice. It is flexible but yet still firm. It has a smooth surface, but does have drag meaning it requires some lubricant. It does have a strong odor though. If you are normally a hater of Doc Johnson's berry smell that is added to some of their toys, this one won't be a favorite of yours either. I don't mind it in some, but this was too strong. It gave me a headache. Covering with a condom helps this though.

The King Pin has some awesome swirls of texture that are like deep ribbing. This is what attracted me to it in the first place. The entire length is a little over 7". For safety, the insertable length is around 5". You want to leave a good chunk of the toy to grip onto. The starting diameter is about an inch which is easy to insert anally because of the rounded top and is certainly even easier vaginally. For the first three inches of the toy, the diameter only varies because of the lovely swirl, then the shaft starts to increase in size. If you go down to where it is still safe to insert the circumference is about 5" around. The flexibility of the material makes this toy very comfortable to use and didn't cause any discomfort. The bottom is concave, but doesn't do much in terms of suction.

While this isn't phallic shaped, it is interesting looking enough that people will notice it. The gorgeous copper color is very noticeable also. The material catches a lot of lint and Sil-A-Gel is highly sensitive to temperatures so it isn't good for travel.

Using this an an anal probe is awesome! I love ribbing and so these intense swirls feel great. I'm not huge on penetration alone, but even I got a lot of stimulation out of the swirls vaginally. Fast thrusting feels awesome. With other toys that have ribbing, I usually find this uncomfortable, but not with the King Pin. It doesn't fill though, so if that is what you are looking for you might want to pass on this. That's my complaint with performance, I wish it was a little thicker for vaginal play. I didn't think of this at first, but it actually does work in a harness too. If you have an O ring of 1 5/8" across or slightly larger, the back will only stick out slightly if you fit it snuggly in.

Cleaning Sil-A-Gel is imperative to keeping it safe for you. Because it is porous, make sure to thoroughly clean with warm water and soap. You will also want to store it in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Heat and storing it next to other Sil-A-Gel, rubber or jelly like toys can causing melting. When choosing a lubricant, water or silicone based is great.

The King Pin comes in an over-sized snap to close plastic case. it shows that the toy is from the Radiant Gems collection and has some information about the material on it. Warranty information is on the back along with pictures of other Doc Johnson products. It is ok for storage. I cut the top of mine off though because it took up too much room.

I am giving the King Pin 4 stars. I love the unique shape and the texture feels awesome. I also really like the copper color that I don't have in any other toy of mine. The swirling is just so pretty! I don't like the smell and wish it was a bit thicker, but for the price this is a great toy.
