Doesn't quite pin me to the sheets...

This toy is a fantastically textured dildo with a tapered style that is perfect for beginners. The corkscrew design stimulates both the g-spot and the entrance to the vagina. However, a condom is highly recommended due to the stinging sensations it can cause (as well as because of the semi-porous material).

Use

This toy is suitable for beginners to more advanced users looking for a little bit of texture in their life. The ridges were absolutely heavenly, and hit my g-spot every time! I highly recommend twisting the dildo in and out--it feels amazing. Unfortunately, this toy is not suited for anal play because it does not have a flared base.

Material / Texture

I can't be the only girl who automatically tastes her dildos before using them, right? This one tasted funny, almost spicy. It was an unfortunate harbinger of things to come. The "allergic reaction" to the material the previous reviewers had also happened to me, making me think that perhaps it's not an allergic reaction at all, but some sort of defect in the material. It stings! I did not use any lubrication with this toy, so the stinging is likely somehow due to to the dildo's Sil-A-Gel material. (If you'd like to use lubricant though, this material is compatible with water and silicone based lubricants.) Sil-A-Gel is also latex and phthalates free.

The coloring is also much more orange than copper--it's a very vibrant color. It is also "lightly scented" and extremely flexible. Shaking the dildo and watching it flop about was almost as fun as using it. Thankfully, I found the flexibility didn't detract at all from its proper use.

Design / Shape / Size

The design is gorgeous, tapered at one end, and with bulbous, sensual ridges spiraling upward over the toy. One of the ridges managed to hit my g-spot every time! It's a nice, average size with an insertable length of 6 inches and at the widest a 1 3/4 inch diameter but the tapered shape of the dildo can leave a little girth to be desired. The bulb at the top of the dildo was approximately the width of an American quarter.

Performance

It claims to have a suction cup base, but I found that to be a gross exaggeration. If you bang it down hard enough on a flat surface, it will stay, but it won't stay in place once you actually try to ride the thing. Water does nothing to help it stay, and lubrication helps only a little bit.

The ridges on this dildo are, as previously stated, heavenly and big enough to stimulate both the g-spot and the entrance to the vagina.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is made of Sil-a-Gel, a safer form of pvc which does not have cadmium, a metal known to cause cancer. Despite the fact that it is non-toxic, and antibacterial, it has the tendency to collect dust and list, so it should be washed with warm water and mild soap before and after every use. Antibacterial sex toy cleaners can also be used. A condom is also recommended for additional safety, since this toy cannot be sterilized, as well as to mitigate the burning sensation it can cause.

Packaging

This dildo comes in a clear plastic packaging which proudly declares that it is "non-toxic, softly scented, latex-free, [and] antibacterial" in five different languages. No instructions were included, leaving me clueless as to how to properly clean the toy. I had to do some extensive research to make sure I wouldn't accidentally destroy the toy.

Personal comments

For me, this toy just didn't have enough girth or texture to do the job; I ended up resorting to my fingers. However, the dildo is beautiful and well-crafted, and for another person it may be their favorite toy in the toy box. I really enjoyed using it in a corkscrew pattern; as I said earlier, heavenly!

Experience

The most fun I had with this toy was nearly falling off my desk in an attempt to test out the suction-cup base. The sensations the toy itself gave were about as impressive as the positions I had to get myself in to properly test the suction capabilities. Despite this, for a first dildo I would recommend this one, especially due to it's tapered shape. First-time users can build their way up to the thicker, more filling base.

Welcome to Eden Very nice first review. Come to think of it, I've heard of quite a few people having bad reactions to Sil-A-Gel. I'm glad you were able to get good use out of it anyway (yay condoms!)

I've only ever owned one Sil-A-Gel dildo and thankfully didn't experience what you reported! But mine also didn't have that odd taste/smell you described.
