This toy has been one of my favorites in the collection. One of my first dildos given to me by my boyfriend. I was unsure about it at first, thinking "that's glass, what if it breaks?!" However, that notion was very quickly withdrawn from my head. This toy is very versatile. The variable temperature properties of it are AMAZING! This toy has a very different feel than the typical "dildo" such as "the Ballsy." I don't recommend it for someone looking for a "natural-feeling" toy.
Since this toy is made with Pyrex glass, it is VERY easy to clean and take care of. I wash it regularly before and after use. I occasionally use it with lubrication, but it may not be necessary. While the toy is not that large (in length or circumference), it is still satisfying (but in a different way).
This toy is great in the bathtub or shower, as it takes on the warm temperature of the water. It is soothing and relaxing, for the week night when your lover isn't around, but you need to relax and unwind. Take a bubble bath, drink a glass of wine, and bring your "blue pyrex friend" into the bubble bath with you. On the other hand, this toy can turn from relaxing and warm, to exciting and cool. Run this toy under some cold water, and "Woohoo" your nerves are tingling. When the toy is cold, you feel it touching you inside in a whole new way. Spin it around and it provides a totally amazing sensation! Indescribable!
This toy may also be used for double penetration with your partner or other toys. I have only used it vaginally, but plan on trying it anally in the future. This toy is a great price, and a very different experience.

The swirled glass dildo was the first glass toy I bought, and my introduction to anal toys as well.
This has become one of my favourite toys in my Toy Trunk, because it is just perfect. From the fat head to the base and everywhere in between.
If you are looking for your first glass toy... this is the one I would strongly recommend!!!

Not Getting the Extended Review Template

I recently purchased this and I was starting my review just now and it won't let me use the extended review template. Looking at the other reviews I see I am not the only person who this happened to, well more than likely since I'm not seeing the extended template used. Does anyone know why? It isn't a huge deal, I'm just curious.

What do you think the deal is with the WIDE pricing for glass toys?
They are all the same material obviously and some are fancier than others but sometimes two can look exactly the same and be a difference of $200.
I recently bought TWO glass toys for a total of $20 and that included shipping. -
It's mostly a question of process (how decorated is the toy, how complex is it to make the decoration, is it handmade, where is it made), but at the extreme low end there is a bit of material difference - tempered soda/lime glass vs. borosilicate glass.

I'd wanted a glass toy for a long time and didn't want to shell out the big bucks for it. I spent about $28 dollars for a similar toy to the one you linked. It's fabulous.

Please don't post duplicate threads on the forums.
The deal with it is that they are made by different manufacturers, and the cost varies widely. Some are hand blown, others are not. Some even contain gold dust. If you look at the Properties tab, you will find that not all glass is alike or equal. That would be like saying every metal dildo or toy is the same - it's just not that simple. -
Also, as some sex toy reviewers are unfortunately finding out, some toys are actually not 100% glass. Some companies fill their toys with water so that they remain "glassy" looking, but don't require as much material.

What lubricants are safe to use? How can it be cleaned? How do the ridges feel? Does the flared base make a good handle?
I have the pink version of this and I actually found the it didn't clean well between the ridges but I didn't notice right away. I wouldn't use unrealistic feeling as a con for glass toys because, c'mon, if you want realist you wouldn't be buying glass?
