I have always been a Flower Child at heart. Flowers are one of Mother Nature's many gifts, so beautiful, perfect, and delicate. This glass dildo is much the same in its beauty and perfection, though it is far from delicate. Made from thick and sturdy Pyrex glass, the beautiful Icicles No.17 will never wither or lose its beauty. I would much rather get this as a gift for Valentine's Day than a bunch of expensive roses that will die in weeks. I look forward to enjoying this gift from Eden for many years to come.

This toy from Pipedream's new Icicle line has everything I look for in a glass dildo. Besides it being beautiful to look at, it is has a generous length and girth as well as a nice curve to hit the g spot. It has a good sized ball on the head and a good base to help remember which way to keep it while it is inserted. The base and ample length should be adequate if you want to try this anally and the curve may make it easy to massage the prostate. The lack of texture on this dildo is nice as well, making for a smooth, slick experience. The only potential downside is that the rigidity of the glass and the ample length can make it easy to bruise your cervix with hard thrusting. I definitely don't let Daddy use this one on me, as he gets too "enthusiastic" and forgets that my vagina DOES have limits. Let that be a warning to those looking to use this anally as well. Glass is very rigid and has no give. If you are used to taking something of this size in a rubber or silicone toy, the glass will feel bigger. Also, the ball at the end does not make insertion in the rectum as easy as something tapered would, so keep that in mind.

As stated before, this toy is made out of body safe Pyrex glass. People with allergies should have no problems at all with this. It is not porous at all, so you don't have to worry about germs. There is no smell at all and no taste, either. This dildo has no texture, unless you count the ball on the top. It is all smooth, hard glass, and beginners should have no problem with the material or texture. The only thing I would warn beginners to glass about is that you can hurt yourself if you thrust too hard, as there is absolutely no give to the glass at all.

Those of you new to temperature play should know that glass can feel a little cold at room temperature, so you might want to run this under some hot water for a minute before use. I happen to love the cold sensation and have actually put this in the freezer for a minute or two before use. Glass holds temperature quite well, so experimenting with this can be fun and exciting.

This site lists this as having a diameter of 1 and 5/8 inches, but that is at the widest point which is the ball on the end. The shaft is only one inch wide, so this makes for a delightful "pop" when inserting and taking it out that I enjoy immensely. If you can handle the head, the rest shouldn't be a problem, as you don't have to insert this thing all the way to hit the g spot. Fans of the "A-spot," I think it's called, will be delighted to have a curved dildo long enough to reach this spot. Given the rigidity of this toy, I would advise beginners to go slow and use lube until you know what you are comfortable with.

I seriously can not think of one bad thing about this toy, unless you count that it didn't come with a storage pouch. This is the first glass toy I have gotten where it didn't come with a pouch, and I worry that, with its length, it will be hard to find one that holds it well. The packaging was nice and there is a custom foam insert that will keep it from getting damaged, but I hate the space that boxes take up. I just keep it rolled up in a thick fleece pillow case that I have.

Cleaning glass is easy. It doesn't attract lint and dust like other toys do, so if you wash well with liquid antibacterial soap and warm water, you won't have to wash before use. Unless, of course, you choose to leave this out and it collects dust or it drops on the floor. Speaking of dropping, this is the only thing you must be careful of. Pyrex is pretty strong glass and if it breaks, it will break into big pieces instead of shattering. That being said, it is glass and may break or chip if you drop it on a hard surface. If you have a ceramic tub and decide to use this during a bath or shower, take care. Glass is very slick and even more so when wet or lubed up. If you do happen to drop it and it doesn't break, you should inspect it for cracks or chips before using it again.
