Pleasure and then some

Pleasure is a wonderfully designed toy that feels as good as it looks. In fact it feels better than you would think or at least better than I expected. It has an unimposing size, warms quickly and is easy to use.

Use

Pleasure is best used vaginally for G-spot stimulation. It may not be curved, but it will reach your G-spot easily.

It has no flared base and is therefore not suitable for anal play. It would be entirely too easy for the entire toy to slip inside.

It can also be warmed and used for massage.

Material / Texture

Pleasure is a firm ceramic toy with a smooth, shiny finish made from a body safe glaze. Its surface feels exactly like a coffee cup or any other shiny glazed ceramic product.

Each one is hand painted. If you look closely you can see brush strokes.

While the material is smooth, the bumps provide a wonderful sensation.

Design / Shape / Size

Pleasure is a little over seven and a half inches long and has a circumference of four and a half inches. This is a nice size for a hard toy. Its size should work well for both beginners and experienced users.

It has six bulbs smoothly molded together. A disk is welded or glued onto the bottom. The toy is hollow but doesn't seem particularly fragile.

It comes with a slim, attractive storage pouch. It takes a little more effort to insert Pleasure into the bag than with other toy storage pouches since the opening is only a slit near one end and the bag is not much wider than the toy. Once inside the pouch, the slit closes and I don't believe others would suspect a sex toy is inside. It looks like it might be a cosmetics bag, a glasses case or perhaps a holder for feminine products.

Performance

The Pleasure feels wonderful. You can feel every bump. It will massage your G-spot with each bump both as it's moving in and as it moves out. So it almost feels as though you're receiving twice the stimulation.

The sensations were better than I expected. Some toys feel especially good as they're pulled all the way out, then again as they are re-inserted. Pleasure simulates that sensation as each bulge moves past your G-spot. It's quite an effective design in that way, providing pleasure both as it moves in and on the out stroke.

Care and Maintenance

The Pleasure is ceramic, making it easy care. The instructions say to wash with hot water and soap after use.

Inspect for chips or cracks before use.

It can be cleaned in a dishwasher or sterilized with a 10% bleach solution. The instructions included with Pleasure say to clean with hot water and soap after each use.

Ceramic warms up very quickly, just like coffee mugs when warm liquid is poured into them. Pleasure will warm up faster than glass or metal toys. To warm it before use, the instructions suggest to run warm water over it, heat it in the oven or let it warm to body temperature. Do not heat it in microwave. For cool play, use cold water or place it in the fridge.

This site states that Pleasure comes with a leather storage bag, but the bag that came with mine isn't leather. It's made of a checkerboard fabric with suede-like and smooth squares. The opening is a slit near one end. It doesn't provide padding, but fits the toy closely and provides sufficient protection for storage in a box with other toys.

Any lube is safe to use with this toy, although you will likely not need any with Pleasure.

Packaging

The Pleasure comes in a simple white cardboard box. Inside it is nestled inside its storage bag and wrapped in generous amounts of bubble wrap. Also included are care and use instructions.

Mine arrived with a chip in the base. Even with all that bubble wrapping. I wrote to Duncan Charles about this. They replied that they are taking my suggestion of adding more bubble wrap around the ends of the toy.

The Pleasure doesn't seem particularly fragile, but nothing ceramic doesn't have some risk of breakage.

Personal comments

I was a little concerned before I tried Pleasure that it would be a repeat of my less than pleasurable experience with Tantus Alumina Revolve. The Revolve has three bumps, a small one at the tip, followed by a larger one that is approximately the same size as the bumps on Pleasure, followed by a larger bump. While the Revolve felt like a poking festival which I couldn't tolerate using for more than thirty seconds, Pleasure feels wonderful. No poking at all. Just wonderful waves of stimulation.
