Pot O' Gold
Simple yet creative, Rainbow Mega Nubby is a attractive work of functional art. It's very affordable, a steal for the quality and enjoyment it can provide. If you've been considering glass at all, even if you aren't considering glass, this is a great place to start. The sensations are unique, and it is without a doubt the prettiest and most colorful toy I own!Published: May 5, 2009
Pros:
A spectacle! So pretty, nubs provide nice sensations. Glass!
Cons:
Straight shape.
YAY GLASS! I couldn't wait to receive this highly-reviewed beauty, I did my research and I was sure I had purchased something spectacular. Allow me to expand on our pretty rainbow friend...
Hurrah!! The Rainbow Mega Nubby is made of Pyrex, a quality brand of glass that manufactures mostly kitchenware and laboratory products, which is also recyclable! Because Pyrex is such a sturdy and non-porous material, you can use any lube of your choice with it, it won't break apart the surface or otherwise. Another advantage using Pyrex means you are free to sterilize with ease. Put it on the top rack of your dishwasher with your Pyrex measuring cup, or use a 10% bleach solution. Easy!
Whoopee! Being a newbie myself, I was pleased with the general size of this lil' lady. It's nothing threatening, yet it still provides a nice girth all around. The length leaves nothing to be desired, you should have plenty of room to work with. Fun!
Cool! Have you and your toys ever played with temperature? Well now you can! Glass toys retain temperature like nobody's business. I've never used another toy that holds temperature to compare, but the fact remains. If you emerge RMN in hot or cold water and allow it to warm up or cool down, you can take it with you to the bedroom (or bathtub!) and enjoy. There are restrictions however on how to acquire your desired warmth, like setting it in the freezer could crack your new friend. Don't drop the fellow in a boiling pot of water and expect to use it right away! Anyway, Neat!
Amazing! RAINBOW NUBS. Where have you been all my life... all rainbow-partiality aside, this is a beautiful piece of art, with function to boot! I think of the chilled nubs sliding across my skin, so smooth and inviting! I noticed another great use for RMN, yes, it can be used as a kaleidoscope. When I was admiring its beauty after I opened the package, I put it up to the light and placed an eye up to one end and spun it around, it really works! A psychedelic array of color and humor! Jolly good!
Unfortunate! The ONE thing I would change about RMN, is it's straight shape. I would have liked a bit of a curve, but I'll be happy to turn the other cheek. Another note, if you're looking to use this for anal play, think again. There's no flare to it to stop it from slipping out of sight. So don't try it, sister/mister!
Huzzah!! Your new gift to yourself comes with an honorary padded pouch for storage. It's velvety and has a sliding knob closure, just be careful because it can slide open by itself easily. Mine was baby blue, I know some people received pink. Complete with this free pouch, Rainbow Mega Nubby is only 25 dollars! How can you complain? You can't!
I'm very impressed with this piece, It's going to last me a lifetime (we hope), I can brag to my friends that I own something glass, and it only cost me a half-a Benjamin. I feel like they made a mistake with this one, it seems too good to be true. I say hurry up, what are you waiting for?

Experience
My favorite way to use the Rainbow Mega Nubby is cooled down and softened up with my Caramel O'my Flavor lube. The nubs seem to really "pop" when they're cold. It warms up after a bit of playing, which is also a nice sensation. I like using a simple pocket rocket in combination, but cautiously. I feel like if there was too much vibration against the glass it might crack, not sure if there's any truth to that superstition but caution is never a bad idea. Also, do be careful using a harder material if you're used to something softer.

Do the nubs make it more pleasurable?
-
They seem like they would hurt, especially on such an unforgiving material.

For questions like these, read the reviews. See what people who have actually used the product have to say. That'll answer your question.

Glass Dildos

Can someone give me advice on which glass dildos work the best?
-
Quote: Can someone give me advice on which glass dildos work the best?I think it depends on your preferences. Do you like slim, or thick? Texture, or smooth? If you like texture, which kinds do you like?
-
Glass dildos are great! They all get really slick with lube, can be warmed (or cooled) in water, and are totally easy to clean. Texture wise there are all sorts of options, like the nubby you pointed out, or ridged, or smooth varieties. What works best depends probably more on your personal preferences than any one design factor.
I would say that if you like softer and more bendable materials generally you may find glass to be somewhat of a letdown, but if you like firm pressure glass is definitely where it's at.
We have a couple of glass toys (a plug and a few dildos) and really like all of them, not too mention they tend to be a little more fun to look at. Personally we like a mix of glass and silicone toys, because they each have things they are better at, but if you are curious about trying a glass toy out for the first time, definitely go for it. You will probably like it.

Do glass toys "hurt" or feel too hard as opposed to rubber/jelly toys? I really like this and want to order one!
-
I haven't tried that specific glass toy, but I have tried glass toys with "nubs" on them. Honestly, they didn't hurt me in the least -- but, the jelly ones do. I don't understand it.
I LOVE glass though. -
Maybe if you move around and find it's too big, but in themselves, they wouldn't generally hurt (in my exp) :)

Glass Toys
-
So I don't know much on the topic, but putting anything made of glass inside my body sounds a little scary. Do glass toys ever break?
-
Not usually, most glass toys are made of a solid piece of Borosilicate glass like pyrex. They shouldn't break unless you drop them and even then they may not break the first time they fall.
You should check them for chips before using them, just in case. -
Glass is one of the safest materials you can get, next to stainless steel and silicone. You can boil it and even throw some into the dishwasher! They'll break if you drop them real hard or throw them (especially the cheaper ones), or if you put it in the oven and then in a bowl of cold water, but not inside you!
