Use

NobEssence's Smooth S-Curve is designed for exact g-spot stimulation. It can be easily held by a partner or used solo. This beautiful toy can be enjoyed by women who are just learning about their g-spot, partners who want to give their lover special treatment, or women who have experienced female ejaculation for years and just want a new toy. The smaller end can be used either anally or vaginally for g-spot or p-spot play.

If you're looking to exercise your PC muscles (kegels), this is also a great toy. Just insert the bulbous end into your vagina, clench your vaginal muscles around the ball, and use your hand to pull gently on the toy. Your pussy will have to create resistance against the pulling, and you'll tone your vaginal muscles in no time.

Material / Texture

NobEssence toys are made of solid wood which is finished with their proprietary Lubrosity™ finish for a smooth, safe coating. You never have to oil or condition your toy, or worry about splinters. The smallest amount of lubrication goes a long way on this very smooth finish. I find that I rarely need any lube beyond what I produce on my own-- especially once my g-spot starts dribbling.

The wood makes for a very firm toy, it has virtually no give at all. This is great for providing consistent pressure on the g-spot, but also produces some pretty intense sensations. Some people may not like the intensity of this big, hard toy.
    • No odor
    • Rigid

Design / Shape / Size

The S-Curve has one of the most sensual designs I think I'll ever see on a toy. It is very feminine without being at all frilly or girly. The deep curve and bulbous end is designed to firmly contact the g-spot and it does so flawlessly. The thick end is designed to give a feeling of deep fullness, which it also delivers. Some people may find the larger end to be a little intimidating, but for many, once your pussy starts dripping from the g-spot stimulation on the small end you'll crave the thick, filling shaft on the other side and it will slip in with less resistance than you think.

If you're new to toys or penetration you might think twice about investing in this toy unless you know it's something you'll like. On the other hand, if you do invest in this toy, I bet it's likely that you'll quickly discover how much you love having your g-spot caressed.

Since it doesn't have any moving parts and comes in a beautiful protective box, the S-Curve is an excellent choice for travel.

Performance

NobEssence says that this is a g-spot toy, and I don't think they could have designed a better sculpture for the purpose. It is sized so that it will fit nearly any woman's anatomy comfortably. It can be easily shifted, turned, or pivoted to provide stimulation right where you want it. And since it's completely manual, you have complete control over how deep, hard, and fast you work.
    • Comfortable
    • Easy to use

Care and Maintenance

This toy needs little special care. It can be washed using soap and water, and disinfected with rubbing alcohol. The company recommends a dilute bleach solution, but from a health perspective I recommend against using bleach, especially in any proximity to your delicate and absorbent genital tissues.

You do need to be careful that you don't drop or knock the toy. If you damage the finish, you risk allowing bacteria into the porous wood or it may grow mildew. In either of these cases, you should stop using your toy for safety's sake.

You can use virtually any lube you love on this toy, including oils, water, glycerin, or silicone based lubes. Just make sure you're careful when it's slicked up, as you may find it to be very slippery.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Experience

Only once before using this toy have I ever squirted, and it was an accident. Since then, I've tried to years (unsuccessfully) to recreate the experience. The very first time I used the S-Curve, I literally gushed all over the place. It felt absolutely amazing, and I want to shout from the rooftops that YOU TOO can learn to squirt! This is an amazing toy for learning about your own pleasure and anatomy.

If you're aiming for female ejaculation, this makes for an amazing tool to have in your arsenal. Make sure you give yourself LOTS of time to warm up: read some sexy stories or indulge in a video of other ladies squirting, rub a vibrator over your jeans, tease your pussy through your panties. Get really wet. Then, when you're ready, use the bulb end to really slowly caress your g-spot. Get worked up and let it take a while. The longer you wait, the more likely you are to be successful squirting. There are lots of great books and videos on squirting, so indulge and experiment!

  • Wooden - splinter?
    • I have no problem with wooden toys, and would love to try one.. if I can ever get it in stock. My girlfriend on the other hand is afraid it will split, have any ideas for me to reassure her?
    • I've never heard of that happening under normal use. It's very unlikely to happen at all if you get a good quality one with a good varnish. Of course, soaking it in water might make it split, but the care instructions will specifically say not to do that. Just follow the directions and it'll be fine. Wood is a very safe material when properly varnished. :)

I agree, if it wasn't a safe toy it wouldn't be on the market.
If it was possible for it to split under normal use, they wouldn't sell it for vaginal insertion.

  • Wooden Toys, what's the allure?
    • Hi there folks!

I was browsing through the dildo section after reading a couple forum posts about people trying to pick between dildos, including some wooden dildos in their choices. I'm kind of wondering what the allure for wooden dildos are?

I can appreciate the artistic value of them, like the "Smooth S Shape", but practical application seems sketchy. I don't care how well made a wooden object is, how well varnished or polished or whatever, it's going to have health and safety issues over time I'd think. Lubricants and body fluids would seep in eventually right? And cleaning, and sterilizing on occasion, would also break down the surface of the toy and lead to splinters and hidey nooks for bacteria I'd think? So why buy them if you want a toy for actual use? If you want a hard, non vibrating toy, why not go for glass or steel?
    • I love wood toys, though I also own glass and metal toys. Here's my reasoning.

      1) They're beautiful! They're silky smooth, curvy, and sensual. That's appealing to me and, often, arousing.

      2) They're lightweight, especially compared to the heft of glass and metal.

      3) They feel more warm and familiar to me, as opposed to the cold sterility of glass and metal.

      4) They're environmentally- and body-friendly. Wooden toys are often sustainably-farmed, chemical-free, and all-natural.

I'd also like to debunk your concerns about splinters and "hidey nooks".

The wooden toys I own are all by NobEssence, so I can't say that I know much about other brands, but I can certainly vouch for NobEssence. Their products are sanded and polished totally smooth and utterly flawless. They use a state-of-the-art sealant that is bio-compatible, hypoallergenic, and completely waterproof, "[stemming] from years of meticulous research and development and meet USP Class IV and VI Medical Standards. According to NobEssence, "when carved wood comes into contact with moisture, it absorbs those fluids and becomes rough, bumpy and even splintery. Most wood sealants considered ‘food safe’ will break down or dissolve over time, so we spent a long time searching for a sealant to make our wood waterproof and body safe."

You should be careful not to damage the surface by dropping it or knocking it against other hard surfaces. You shouldn't boil it or expose it to high temperatures in a dishwasher, but you can wash it with warm water and non-abrasive soap, soak it for ten minutes in a 10% bleach solution, or wipe it down with anti-bacterial/microbi al cleaner, such as alcohol, bleach, peroxide, etc. If you do suspect the toy has been damaged, you can test the integrity of the finish by "immersing it in water for a few seconds and removing to inspect. If the area in question darkens in response to water AND when wiped remains damp when the surrounding area is dry", then you have damage.

In short, if you follow directions and take proper care of your toy, you shouldn't encounter any problems. The philosophy with wood toys is the same as with glass. If you notice that your glass toy has a chip or a crack, you should no longer use it. The same goes for wood toys. Over time, nearly any material or item may have health and safety issues. It's a matter of risk management and taking good care of your toys.

And there you have it! :)
    • Being able to say "why yes, I've got wood" (sorry couldn't resist)

  • Nob Essence - Out of stock leads to discontinued????
    • Hey - I was really sad when the "Dual Use S Shape" (link) went out of stock and then went discontinued. I was saving for it.

But I made my piece and decided to lust after the "Smooth S shape" (link) instead.

But its been out of stock for what feel like forever - is it destined to flip over to discontinued? I really hope not and I have saved enough to buy it and I am just waiting and waiting and waiting and hoping.... :)
    • Oh gosh, I really, really hope not! I was hoping to get this! (Eventually, once I've saved up quite a chunk of change!).
    • For this (and pretty much all stock questions) I'd submit a support ticket. Customer service can get you a much more definitive answer than anybody just browsing the forums can :)

Are you not worried aboutsplinters from wooden toys?
    • Honestly, not really, even tho I freely confess to not owning any wooden toys at this current moment. I'm sure wooden toy owners can phrase it better than I can, but really any wooden toy that comes from a legit manufacturer will have a finish to it that shouldn't wear off, or has been polished to a point that the only way to end up with splinters is to damage it in some way. :)
    • i would for shure use a condom with a woooden toy.. but i dont think i would use a wooden toy they seem boring and way to hard.. but i guess at some point i can try
