VIP super soft - dildo by Tantus - review by Kindred

The Tantus VIP super soft, as the name implies, is made of an extremely soft silicone. It is a good choice for anyone that enjoys a larger girth combined with a soft material for either vaginal or anal use. Additionally, it has a base that allows it to be used with an O-ring compatible harness. Steel and glass toy aficionados may want to look elsewhere as the VIP super soft provides a completely different experience.

The silicone is extremely soft and plush. Unlike the O2 line, there is no firm core associated with this dildo. When squeezed between the fingers, the size can be reduced by half with reasonable ease. The VIP super soft has a slightly matte finish but otherwise has no texture other than a realistic glans with a small ridge. Because the silicone is so soft, there is no "rigidity" to the dildo. While it does maintain its shape, the VIP super soft flops about and can actually be stretched (think Stretch Armstrong). There is no smell or taste associated with the silicone. The dildo feels realistic as flesh, but because of the softness of the silicone, it feels more like a semi-erect penis rather than a firm hard-on.

The dildo measure 7" in total length from base to tip with 6.5" being insertable. The length of the shaft has a very sharp angle resembling an erect penis. Due to the incredible softness of the silicone, the curve does not assist much with increased stimulation to the g- or p-spot, depending on use. The shaft itself is an oval shape measuring 1-5/8" by 1-1/2" resulting in a circumference of 5-5/8". Please note that these measurements are slightly different from those listed on the product page.

The head of the dildo is designed with a glans and is somewhat realistic in appearance. The underside has a nicely detailed frenulum and coronal ridge, albeit a small one. In contrast, the coronal ridge on the topside of the head is non-existent and resembles an intact penis with the foreskin pulled slightly over the head. The rest of the dildo lacks any texture.

The base of the dildo includes a scrotum that measures approximately 2-1/2" by 4-3/4". The size of the scrotum combined with the flexibility of the silicone makes it extremely easy to grasp the entire base in the palm of your hand and do so comfortably for extended periods of time. No hand cramping here. The amount of silicone connecting the base to the scrotum is about 1/4" thick which allows the balls to swing freely when held properly or when used with an O-ring compatible harness. The sensation of balls slapping is quite realistic. Care should be taken to not overly stretch or stress the area between the scrotum and the base. Repeated stress may cause the scrotum to rip off.

Because the VIP super soft is made completely of this soft silicone, the experience of using this dildo is very different than most other silicone dildos.

Vaginally, the girth certainly provides a fullness sensation. However, because of the softness, there is less direct pressure from the dildo. The experience is more of a general, overall sensation when thrusting and less of a "hitting the g-spot" experience. The silicone literally compresses on itself when met with any pressure or resistance. The softness of the silicone makes quick thrusting difficult since it stretches. The VIP would appeal to anyone that prefers girth but not texture. The minimal ridge associated with the head could barely be felt during use.

Anally, the experience was very different as well. The floppiness made initial insertion a little tricky since both the head and body of the dildo are so soft. Once in, the girth was very easy to manage because of the compressibility of the silicone. However, once inside the dildo expands again and provides a nice filling sensation, much like with a larger butt plug. As with vaginal use, quick thrusting was difficult due to the floppiness of the dildo. With lubrication, the dildo slid easily with very little resistance. The dildo never specifically hit the prostate, but the general size did apply some pressure. Despite the softness, users should be comfortable with toys of a large girth anally before attempting to use the VIP super soft. It feels smaller than it is, but it is still a significant size.

The softness of the silicone and the curve of the dildo work in its favor when using orally. Again, the girth is rather substantial, but it works well for practicing fellatio and deep throating in particular. The curve angles the dildo perfectly over the tongue and the softness does not poke or jab, meaning less triggering of the gag reflex. Although the dildo has only a slight matte finish, it glides much easier with some saliva or lubricant.

The VIP super soft is made of 100% ultra-premium platinum silicone which means it is non-porous, latex free, phthalate free, and hypoallergenic. It can be sterilized by either boiling in water, placing it in the top rack of a dishwasher, or with the use of a 10% bleach solution. More routine cleaning can be accomplished by using a toy cleaner or antibacterial soap and water. Please be sure to clean properly before using the dildo anally and then switching to vaginal. Water and oil based lubes are compatible with silicone, however oil based lubes should not be used vaginally. As is typical of most silicone toys, this dildo is a lint/dust/hair magnet. As such, I recommend a quick rinse before each use and storing appropriately to prevent unwanted material interactions (see Packaging below).

Typical of Tantus toys, the VIP super soft comes in a clear plastic box with an internal plastic clamshell casing that positions the dildo within the center of the outer box. The packaging is stylish if not discreet since the dildo is clearly visible inside. The box does not indicate any special storage instructions for the super soft silicone. Anyone concerned with damaging the super soft silicone should consider storing it in the original box. While the box works well to store the rather large and floppy dildo, it does take some effort to remove and store since the box consists of several flaps and tabs. Regardless of how the dildo is stored, contact with other toys should be avoided to prevent unwanted interactions.

Because the VIP super soft is O-ring harness compatible, it would be a good choice for packing under clothing. Although the overall dildo size is large, the soft material combined with the flexibility of the dildo would allow for fairly easy concealment. The shaft could easily be bent to the side or even downward and held there under pants providing a significant bulge. This would allow one to truly pack and play without having to change dildos. When worn in a harness, the dildo remains up right and erect despite the flexibility. It does droop slightly but does not bend or flop over.

Upon removing the dildo from its packaging, there was a strange, grease-like coating on the dildo. It didn't smell like grease but was difficult to remove initially. It required two washings with soap and boiling the dildo to remove. The substance has not been encountered in previous Tantus silicone dildos.
