A Toy Box Must!
This is a fantastic non-intimitating toy which is water-proof. It's smoothness and relatively strong vibrations make this a great toy for first timers or old timers.Published: July 13, 2011

This is a fantastic toy! I think the first thing that needs to be pointed out is the price. It's quite inexpensive and one of the reasons why I drifted towards it. Not to mention, its non-intimidating size (7x1"), powered by 2AA batteries and, oh yeah, it's water proof! It came in a nice clear plastic box with all the details about it. Now I purchased it for my fiancé along with a number of other toys to get her back in to the vibrator world, and unfortunately it didn't arrive in time for her to give it a try with all the rest of them, but that turned out to be a good thing.
She's used the Velvet touch in many ways; for clitoral stimulation, penatration (both vaginally and analy). Because of it's smooth texture makes it very easy to insert and very non-threatening. That was especially nice when she suggested we try in on me. She also loved having it around for those moments when her favorite toys runs out of juice and doesn't want to go looking for more batteries. She's said on numerous occasions, that this toy would be perfect if it just had some vibrating patters to it.
The #1 place where the Velvet Touch gets used is in the shower or bath. Anytime we are up for some bath time fun, this is what we reach for. At least for the moment it is the only waterproof toy we own, but we haven't had the desire to get anything else either. Also, being waterproof makes is super easy to clean. Just use some hot water and anti-bacterial soap and you are good to go.
I would totally recommend the Velvet Touch for anyone who is looking for a first time vibrator, looking for something water-proof or just looking for a back up toy.

This straight forward vibe is still awesome! Doesn't get used a ton, but is great as a backup vibe. We've really enjoyed it when we've needed to. Definitely worth it.

Getting rid of stains on my Velvet Touch vibe?

LinLinHi, I accidentally used my Velvet touch vibrator during my period (like I started going and I didn't notice that I was already spotting). Since then it has some mild yellowing (I got it in lavander) and I don't know how to get rid of the stains! It does not seem to have an odor or anything, but does anyone have any tips on how I can get rid of the stains? I love this toy and its my first and only one I own, but I'm so annoyed with the staining!
Any help would be appreciated! -
You could try cleaning it with a bleach solution, but honestly it might just be stained. I'd say that if it doesn't smell and you've cleaned it real well, that might just be it. It won't affect the usability at all though, which is good. :)

Or that the machine itself is faulty? I've had this toy for over four years, only had to change the battery once, and it has remained clean, odorless, retained its color, vibrations are as strong as when I first purchased/used it, and it never malfunctioned on it. Although it's a very inexpensive toy, it has outlasted all others in pleasure and in worth! Go for it!

I had mine for at least a year before it stopped working. When it stopped working, there was rust under the twisting part of the cap, so I likely caused it to stop working by not being careful when washing it. This was a FABULOUS toy when I had it, and I would buy another if I needed another basic vibe. For $13, you can't really go wrong. Don't abuse it (drop it, get the cap or insides wet) and it should last quite a while.

What are the vibrations like, in general? How did the vibrations compare to the other toys she tried? What is it made of?
Is this just one speed? I would not recommend this as a toy for anal, as there is no flared base. Thanks for the review.

It's got a PU coating on plastic, which I think is Polyurethane, but I am not 100% sure. The vibrations were surprisingly strong, but not as strong as a couple of the other vibes she has. It's got a multi speed dial at the base. Maybe not the safest for anal, but we've been careful. Thanks for the comments.
I like the simplicity of it but I want more vroom with less bees. Im in a dorm room and have a hard time finding a toy that is quiet and powerful.
