The Velvet Touch Vibrator from Doc Johnson is a rumbly tradition style vibrator. It is used to stimulate nipples and clitoral areas mostly, but can be used on other parts of the body if you prefer. You can combine this with whatever it is you prefer to use with a vibrator. You could perhaps use it with a dildo, or another vibrator if that's your thing. It can be used internally, but I suggest putting lubrication on it. The velvet feel could make it feel like it's dragging. It is waterproof! It's not too loud if you don't turn it up all the way. I'm just thankful my neighbor constantly does laundry because it can get a little loud.

The Velvet Vibrator is made out of PU Coated Plastic, a material rated 7 on Edenfantasy's Material Safety meter. This material is Phthalate free, which is a major plus.

I didn't really notice a smell, not even right out of the packaging. To the touch, it's like a velvet type of feel. It kinda made me feel like I had a luxury vibe here. There isn't a taste that I could get out of it. The texture, for me, didn't really add any stimulation. It's actually smooth so I wouldn't think it would have a texture other than that to it. Unless you're looking for a vibrator that has texture and is able to move, then this isn't that one.

I personally think anyone, from a beginner getting into rumbly vibrators up to an advance user, would enjoy this vibrator from Doc Johnson. Just be sure to make sure you're either really wet, or use lubrication because the toy for me felt like it dragged slightly.

But due to the material, I guess it does stain. I had dropped mine, and since I wear boots now that it's winter season for me, I accidentally kicked it while bending to pick it up. I was a bit annoyed to see the black marks from my boots wouldn't come off.

Doc Johnson designed this vibrator in the tradition style for a vibrator. It's dull at the end for comfortable use on the clitoris, nipples, and anywhere else. It has a shape that also allows for vaginal insertion. I don't suggest anal insertion considering this vibrator doesn't have a base to it. I would be a little worried of it slipping in and then a very embarrassing hospital trip.

Around the middle measures about 3 inches. The length is 7 inches, with 6 inches able to be inserted which is pretty much up to the cap. It is also an inch in diameter. The size is just fine for me. It's not too big and it's not too small, it's just right. It shouldn't be that intimidating. Personally, I think everyone could enjoy this vibrator.

If anyone saw it, they would know right away that it's a vibrator. It's not discreet looking at all. The shape of it alone will tip them off, if nothing else. I suggest putting this little baby in a safe spot like your drawer or wherever it is for your toys. You can take this toy for travel. It fits in my purse just fine, then again my purse is big. Just be sure to take the batteries out first. It's rumbly, loud, and the dial turns a bit easy.

The vibrations can be felt throughout the toy, but I believe they're more pronounced at the tip of the toy. It's a easy vibrator to turn on. Just put in 2 AA batteries and twist the dial on the end. It's a multiple speed vibrator so you can choose your setting via the dial. You will probably have to set the vibrations before using due to the controls being on the end away from you as you are using it down south.

The only thing I didn't like was the inside. I had to take out a container that lined up the batteries due to my batteries actually getting stuck. My husband had to use pliers to pull it out. We just put the batteries back in and put the cap on. It still works fine.

It is waterproof and it works just fine in water. Just don't take off the clear ring under the cap or you won't be able to use this in the water, pool, bath, or wherever it is that you like to have watery fun.

The Velvet Touch Vibrator is loud. I got nervous while using it since the walls in my apartment building are rather thin. You can probably muffle the noise level by putting something over it, but I doubt you will want to do that just to have fun.

It's rather easy to care for this particular vibrator. Soap and water will do the trick. I actually washed this with my dishes. I finished the dishes, and used more hot water and soap, and cleaned it. That did the trick, or you can use a toy cleaner. It's waterproof, so as long as the cap is on tightly then I don't think you'll have a problem.

The lubricants best used with this toy are water or silicone based. I used it with my water based lubrication and it worked just fine.

To store it, you can put it in where you keep your toys, or back in it's packaging if you want. I've stored this with my candy cane vibrator, my plastic egg, glass dildo, and silicone cock ring. I have not seen any damage whatsoever.

The toy came in a plastic long box, big enough to hold the vibrator and the instructions. It's clear and purple. It clearly tells you it's a vibrator and that it's from Doc Johnson. On the back it tells you what it is in English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish and Russian with their flags above the wording. It also has four codes on the back for each color. Whichever color you didn't get will be crossed out.

There were instructions included, but I'm sure you know how to use a vibrator if you have plenty of these. If not and if this is your first, take a look just to be on the safe side.

The packaging can be used as a gift due to its shape, and it is very easy to gift wrap. As a storage box, you may think it will take up too much room, so you can get rid of it if you want. But I'm going to keep mine and store it for those rainy days!

I was excited to get this vibrator since my other one, from the same company, had just died about a week before I ordered this. I was a bit discouraged when the batteries were hard to get in and take out. Thankfully, I put them in right and was able to get them out after thumping the vibrator on my bed about twenty times.
