Use

The Butterfly Kiss vibration may not look overly powerful, but don't let it's small size fool you! This vibrator is a dual stimulation vibrator that actually has a surprising amount of clitoral vibrations compared to other dual stimulation vibrators I have purchased in the past. The vibrator is also set up for G-spot stimulation, but I have found more pleasure from the clitoral stimulation than the G-spot stimulation. The toy is slim, but it definitely satisfies for vaginal penetration and could also be used externally to only stimulate the clitoris.

Material / Texture

The Butterfly Kiss vibrator is made of TPR, so the toy is quite safe for use and has held up very well for me. The TPR material makes the toy soft and flexible so you can really position it however you would like for it to be used. The slim shaft is smooth, but has some lines where the material was fused together. I haven't had problems with these areas like I have experienced previously with other toys, but I'm sure that each toy is made a bit differently. The non-insertable portion of the toy (butterfly wings and antennae) have a lot of texture and, in my opinion, are what really make the toy.

My toy has held up very well and with normal cleaning and storage in a case to keep it from collecting lint or dust (which it very easily does because of the material), the toy is fairly easy to take care of.

Design / Shape / Size

Overall, I give the Butterfly Kiss an A+ for design! I LOVE using this toy and it's always one of my go-to toys. The toy is fairly slender (less than 1.5 inches in diameter and only three inches of insertable length), so don't expect a "full" feeling from the toy, but you can expect lots of power!

Often, people have problems finding toys that can simultaneously stimulate the clitoris while the toy is inserted - myself included - so I was thrilled to find that this toy did a great job of taking care of both of my sensitive areas at the same time. Also, since the toy is so flexible, it can easily be manipulated or moved around to accommodate your body shape.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The only problem I have with the Butterfly Kiss is the control system. The vibrator is controlled by one button at the base of the toy. There are three settings, each more intense and powerful than the previous, but to turn the toy off you must go through all the settings. Also, it takes a good amount of pressure on the button to change settings, so when the toy might be a bit slippery, this can be frustrating. I personally prefer the second setting and find the third setting too intense.

The toy only takes two AAA batteries, so it's surprising that the toy has such strong vibrations! As you can see from the picture, the toy isn't what I would consider discreet in appearance, but I don't think the noise from the toy is too overwhelming. I live with others and don't worry about them hearing the toy. Once it's in place, the sounds are pretty muffled.
    • Not very discreet
    • Powerful

Care and Maintenance

The toy is easily cleaned with soap and water and should be cleaned before and after each use. Since it is made of TPR, cover the toy with a condom or some sort of protective covering. The TPR material also makes it slightly "sticky", so I keep my toy in a little pouch to prevent lint from getting all over the toy. The lint is easily removed with a bit of soap and water, but the pouch is an easy solution.

The batteries are inserted into the base of the toy through a simple twisting cap. I haven't had any problems with the cap at all.

    • Anyone know why the blue is more expensive than the pink? They're the same, right? So why is one more expensive?

  • i have experiment attraction to women,,, i´m bicurious?
    • hi my name is yesenia paris,, and i´m 22 but since i was in high school i kind of have curiosity for girls,, i never like really kiss a girl or anything or i never had any female friend to experiment that, like i am very shy person and also like a lonely girl,, althought i am a very pleasant person and i good human being ,, noone seens to like me,,, but although of that matter i still feel the curiosity may because i have never been with a girl before
does that make a bisexual,a bicurious,of it just because the loneliness or the lock of friends,, like i never have a real
girl friend ,, like it´s samething that happens with boys,, you are not friends with them ,, but you like them in a different way,,, i always thing it´s because my loneliness
and the need of an another ,, girl being friends with me i also don´t have a mom to call and talk about my problems maybe it´s because of that the confusion thanks have a nice day
    • Someone made a similar post a while back, and I'll basically tell you what we told her. Don't follow stereotypes. Don't label yourself. If you are interested in girls, then you just are. If you haven't experimented with girls, personally I feel that when I liked someone it isn't based on any particular factor, it is based on the person themselves. I tell people I am bisexual, but really I think of myself as pansexual, not limiting emotion and attraction to anything. Not gender, not age, not race, not social status.

I think that sometimes people can become lonely and will "settle", making them open their views and ideas of dating up, to allow "just anyone" to enter into their lives. My boyfriend was this way, before meeting me, dating anyone who would say yes because he had no friends, and had been hurt and heartbroken so badly he just wanted to feel loved and accepted. I also have a straight friend who dated women just so she could have someone to date, but she wasn't attracted to them, although she liked to experiment and have fun, she says she is straight, but I don't give her a label.

If you ever need a friend to talk to, I am a good listener :)
    • Excellent advice Peggi and I second that. We don't need labels...we're just people. I'm a good listener too.

  • What's up with different Butterfly Kisses?
    • When I bought my Butterfly Kiss I thought there were only 2 versions - the standard and the Platinum Edition. Since I couldn't find the PE in my country I went with the regular one. I was so bent on getting it after watching Kara Sutra's review of it. She said it was TPR. I got my Butterfly Kiss. On the packaging (plastic shell with a piece of paper) it said that it's "phthalate-free" and made of TPR. I'm inclined to believe it as it didn't smell, didn't turn ugly yellow even when I had it for more than a year, didn't sting my bits (jelly does).

Now, however I see those jelly Butterfly Kisses. What's the deal? Was my vibe mis-labeled or are there more than 2 versions? I still have the paper insert from the packaging if you'd like to see it. The vibe itself looks a bit more opaque than what I see in EF catalog - it's always looked like this.

I would also ask people from EF who deal with the Review Program. Is my Butterfly Kiss same as yours (and thus qualifies for a review) or is it a different product?
    • Hi there!! California Exotic Novelties was the 1st to come out with this fantastic design. & yes we only have 2 versions, the platinum & the original. Check it out on our website link

Many other companies have tried to duplicate our product but have had no success. We are the original creators with the best product :) Hope this helps!

It's the jelly - throw it away or always use a condom. Look for better materials like silicone or VixSkin.
    • I wouldn't even use a condom...just get rid of it and stay away from the material.

  • Jelly Deformation?
    • Well I loved this little bugger and it came at a bargain so I suppose I can't complain too much. But I whipped it out for play tonight only to find that the jelly seems to have dented and deformed itself on the lovely bulbous head. I had it in a pocket next to my turbo glider and I suspect with some heat and pressure, that's the culprit that did this. It has very odd dents/suctionish things on it now.

Is this prone to happen to jelly toys? Could it have been the California summer heat? I would like to prevent this from happening in the future.

But in case people are wondering, this a toy I would glady invest in again.
    • It is my experience that jelly toys just deteriorate really fast...the heat may have sped up this process though. I do know heat can cause more phthalates to leak out of jelly. It probably just kind of melted on you a little. I would have to say you should go ahead and get a new one or better yet, find a comparible toy in silicone! Silicone can be boiled so, heat shouldn't be an issue with it at all! It always sucks when one of your favorites melts.
    • Does your house get pretty warm? I've never had that problem and I live in AZ. Was it touching the turbo glider? Sounds like a toy material interaction to me.
