I bought these clamps because I absolutely adore nipple play, and I love feeling metal on my skin. I wanted something to look and feel a bit more substantial on my nipples and breasts than just the tweezer nipple toys or a rubber ended clamp; I wanted pure heavy metal. These are absolutely perfect. Anyone that knows me knows how I say that I can “get there” just by having my nipples tweaked, clamped and vibrated, and nothing else. I was excited to try these, but they are much more heavy duty than anything I had ever tried. I had a bit of anxiety about them… would they hurt too much to use? When they arrived, I was happily surprised by how heavy both the clamps and chain were; the product quality is brilliant.
Build
The 12 inch stainless steel chain hangs between each clamp. Each clamp is an inch long and is simple in construction, with a press-clamp that simply moves up and down, and tightens and loosens by twisting the thumbscrew. They are made of great quality stainless steel; well constructed and beautifully polished with no sharp edges. The base of the "U" shape is engraved with the Spartacus logo.
To Put On
When I felt them, the clamps felt weighty and substantial in my hands and icy cold to touch…yes! The screws were a little tight at first and needed working for few minutes, then they were fine. If you are new to clamps, I suggest that while attaching the first clamp you lay down and rest the other clamp on your chest, or ask someone to hold it, as it's pretty heavy to have the other clamp and the whole chain hanging from 1 nipple. Beginners, please start with gentle pressure as it's easy to over-tighten them on your nipples, especially if someone else is clamping them for you. Be aware that they can close up completely, almost squashing your nipples flat. They really can apply some serious pain for those who want more, so get your safe-word at the ready. Bear in mind these identical clamps are used by mechanics and plumbers to seal off rubber tubes and pipes carrying liquid so they completely prevent the flow of any liquids; so imagine what your nipple could look-like?
Jewelery
If you have nipple jewelery, the clamp can be tightened behind or in front of the attachment and depending on how much pain you like, even clamping over the piercing would give some significant pressure to your nipples.

Experience
Start by unscrewing the thumbscrew, which opens the plate, and slide your nipple between them and screw them back down to what pressure you are comfortable with. The little metal plate closes and crushes (sorry, squeezes) your nipple between it. The first time I thought I had screwed it tightly enough, but as I sat up, the sheer weight of the clamp caused it to fall off. It wasn't rocket science and I managed to screw them back on nice and tight. The press-clamps allow you to select the pressure best suited for you. I put quite a distinct amount of pressure on my nipples, squashing them into the clamps, so they turned a deep red to purple. I am used to nipple clamping, so maybe those who are not should start with gentler pressure.
The Chain
The chain is quite heavy, so at first hold the chain and gradually let go, so you know you can tolerate the weight. Also, sit up slowly to allow you to control the weight of the chain for the first time on your nipples . For me, it felt amazing as the clamps have a wonderful substantial weight on their own, but the chain pulls both clamps heavily downwards giving a lovely sensual, sexy tension just on your nipples. The chain can be pulled for extra stimulation, by adding weights which would clip easily onto the chain. I still love these clamps, despite being a little fiddly to put on, they are still a very firm favorite with us both.
I love the hardcore look they give me and the fact they can squash your nipples flat if your tightened the plate down hard enough.(If you wanted to and could stand the pain I mean lol).
I sometimes wear them about the house and the weight of the chain swinging gives a nice tension especially with extra weights attached and of course very hard nipples.
I still recommend these beautiful pieces of cold steel and are still at the top of my toybox.

You didn't seem to get as much out of the clamps as Red, though after her review these are the top of my EF purchase list for my wife.
With the slippage you mention, I think the Clover type clamp may be what you want.

Thank you Stainedclear yes most clamps can be quite fiddley on any size nipple, but its all knack and its pulling your nipple through the clamp and holding it while you or your partner tightens it; slightly behind the actual nipple.
I find tightening a bit more than you would normally take, this allows for "wiggle loosening".

On the write-up it doesnt say specifically say stainless steel, but my OH is a welder, plater etc and is quite convinced they are.
So to the best of my ability Im saying they are. A good point to mention here is if you have any allergy its always best to approach the manufacturer to make sure.
I thought I'd mention lying down 1st as I learn't the hard way putting them on; when I dropped a clamp and the chain and clamp were hanging and swinging from 1 nipple..ouch; wish Id been lying down then lol.
They are great for beginners and advanced alike due to the even pressure created with a press-clamp; rather than pincer clamp;but the clamps can fiddly to start with as I mentioned, its finding the knack.
