Clitoral Hummer is an external vibrator designed to keep the clit happy. It provides a variety of sensations with its scoop and small hook. It also features a wide variety of vibration settings including both steady and pulsating. It can be used alone or with a partner. Being waterproof, it's a nice playmate for the shower.

I had heard good things about the hummer and wanted to give it a try. It's an inexpensive vibe made with decent materials. The hook looked especially tempting. I had high hopes, but a couple of factors make it just an OK toy for me. The motor tends to get hot quickly. I like to slowly savor the experience. This isn't a good toy for that. For those who like to get down and dirty and can quickly orgasm, this would be a good toy. If you like to or need to take time, this won't be a good choice. It's too bad because the design of the toy and intensity strength is impressive. The other issue is that the vibrations can be felt all the way down the handle. It tends to numb hands after a while. Again if it was used in a short time frame, it wouldn't be an issue.

The Clitoral hummer is made of PU coated plastic which rates a 7/10 on Eden's safety scale. It is latex and phthalate free. It can be cleaned easily.

The material is smooth. It feels almost velvety in my hands. It is a rigid toy without any flexibility at all. There is no discernible taste or odor. It looks like a quality toy that isn't going to fall apart.

What makes it unique is the scoop and the hook at the top. The scoop is one and a half inches long and just under an inch wide. It's a nice nest for the clit. The quarter inch hook is on the back toward the top. The dual features make the hummer very versatile. The scoop allows for broad based stimulation and hook gives pinpoint stimulation. The vibrations carry very well in both sections. It's fun to go back and forth with the different sensations.

The handle is rippled. The ripples make it very easy to hold. It's not going to slip out of your hands. It's also a good length at 7 inches long. The length makes it easy to manipulate. However be aware the vibrations do travel all the way down the toy. Hands can go numb if the toy is used very long.

I purchased the blue hummer. It has more of a purple tinge than blue but it is pretty. I would probably call it purple with a slight blue tinge. It is also available in pink or purple.

It has a good variety that should please just about anything. It also has a memory chip so it remembers the last setting. It will turn on wherever you had it last.

It is powered by 1 AA battery. It's a screw type compartment on the bottom of the toy. A single button controls all the functions. Push it to turn it on and cycle through the settings. Push and hold for 4 full seconds to turn it off. It's easy to use and surprisingly powerful for just being a one battery toy. At the highest intensity it is a 4/5. Of course there are lower intensity settings available as well. It isn't very loud. It can't be heard behind a closed door. However it has a slight rattle sound that I find a tad annoying.

The clitoral hummer is easy to maintain. It can be cleaned with soap and water or a toy cleaner. There aren't any nooks and crannies that are difficult to clean. It is waterproof so you don't have to worry about keeping the motor dry. Just be sure that the battery compartment is screwed tight before getting it wet.

It doesn't have any special care instructions. It can be stored in a drawer or bag. I keep mine loose in a storage bin with other toys.

I really wanted to like this toy. The versatility of the scoop and the hook looked so very hot (in the fun sexy way.) Unfortunately the motor was too hot for me (in the ouchie probably not safe way.) I still think it would be an excellent toy for someone who can O very quickly. That's just not me. Sometimes I use it as a fun warm up. I like it when my husband uses it. I never know which end he's going to use and that is fun. I also sometimes use it after a different toy has gotten me all hot and bothered. I just can't depend on it all by itself.
