This is a great vibrating toy for external stimulation to your clit;it is great alone or with a partner. You can use it for a quick release or for extended play. During extended play, the toy's head does heat up a bit. Although I haven't tried it on any other parts of the body, I believe it would work nicely all over for external stimulation. Due to its non-intimidating size, this toy should appeal to beginners and advanced users alike. There are two sides to the head to allow for two different type of contact. The scoop side cups the clit while the nub side pinpoints the clit for more direct contact. The toy is latex-free, so those with a latex allergy can safely enjoy it. This toy would also be good for roommate/campus situations because it is relatively quiet even on the highest setting. It's size also lends itself easily to being stored in a small drawer or box.

The Clitoral Hummer is made of PU-coated plastic. I chose the blue color, which is so pretty. The blue is similar to a cornflower blue and does look like the website shows it. It has a velvet-like feel to it and is so soft. I personally love the velvet-feel toys. The toy had a slight plastic 'baby doll' smell to it. Once I washed it with a mild soap and warm water, the smell was gone. There are small rhinestones around the shaft towards the bottom; a little bling, if you will.

This toy is about 8 inches long, with about 6 of those inches being insertable. The size of the toy when looking at and holding it is not intimidating. This would make it a good choice for beginners. Advanced users that enjoy external stimulation will enjoy it also. One side of the tip is designed as a scoop which fits nicely over the clitoris. When turned on, the scoop does it's magic and brings me quickly to an orgasm. The other side of the head has a nub on it, which is for a more direct contact with the clit for those that prefer that, like the more advanced users. The toy is not particularly large, so storing and hiding it should not be difficult.

This toy has a single push button located on the base at the bottom. It also has a memory chip inside. To turn it on, you simply push the button; then you push it to cycle through each of the 10th different vibration patterns/strengths. The settings start as a weak steady vibration, then a medium steady and a high or strong steady vibration, then they go into pulse patterns and wave patterns. Once you find the one you want and have finished using it, you press the button and hold it for 4 seconds to turn it off. This is where the memory chip comes in. The next time you turn it on, it will turn on to the cycle you last used! No more cycling through to your favorite one. This toy is relatively quiet for a vibrating toy at only about 2 bees. If you use the toy for longer than a couple of minutes the head does start to heat up a bit. It isn't hot enough to burn, but it is noticeable. It doesn't bother me, but to some it may be a deal breaker.

This toy is very easy to care for and clean. It can be used with both water and silicone based lubricants. However, I have not found lubricant needed for the way I have used the toy. To clean, you can use a toy cleaner wipe. I use Eden wipes and it was all cleaned up quickly. You can also use warm water and a mild soap to clean it and that works just as well.

The Clitoral Hummer comes in a plastic package and is fairly easy to open. The packaging does not contain nudity but it is not discreet either. It clearly states its purpose and use in bright pink lettering. There were minimal instructions as it just tells you how to turn it on and off.The package could be used to store it as it does click open and closed but it would be bulky and loud as it crinkles when opened.
