"Killing myself, to die upon a kiss!"
At $17, the Butterfly Kiss is a real bargain. It's great for beginners or people who are terrified of larger vibrators.Published: October 2, 2008
Pros:
Pretty, powerful vibrations, relatively small, flexible.
Cons:
No spine may ruin g-spot stimulation, can be loud, may bore seasoned rabbit users.
I did not buy the Butterfly Kiss thinking it would become a permanent member of my toybox; rather, I considered it a starter dual-action vibe, an un-intimidating toy to tide me over until I could buy a decent rabbit. Hence, I was quite surprised when the Butterfly Kiss turned out to be an absolutely awesome vibrator.
If there's one word I could use to describe this vibe, it would be "elegant." It is simply packaged in plastic with "Butterfly Kiss" written in cursive on the back splash. The toy itself is really pretty, with little hearts decorating the base. The butterfly attachment is simply adorable, and the dildo part is barely wider than a quarter at its thickest point. Overall, this vibe is feminine, but not obnoxiously so, and people who are usually frightened of sex toys will probably be more receptive to the Butterfly Kiss.
The Butterfly Kiss is made from jelly, which is both a pro and a con. It doesn't have an omnipresent odor, but if you sniff it, it definitely smells like medical materials. It's also a lint magnet, and it takes a lot of extensive cleaning to remove all of the pet hair and dust that magically gravitates towards this vibe. Jelly requires a good bit of babying, so be prepared to separate it from your other toys to prevent deterioration, and I recommend using a condom on the dildo part.
On the bright side, jelly is a very flexible material, which can make penetration more comfortable. This flexibility can also be considered one of the Butterfly Kiss' biggest faults, however: the dildo part has no spine, so it's damn near impossible to put a lot of pressure on your g-spot with it. Hence, I would not recommend the Butterfly Kiss if g-spot stimulation is one of your top priorities.
This vibrator only takes 2 AAA batteries, which may give you the impression that it's weak. Nothing could be further from the truth! It has 3 distinct settings, which are controlled with a push button on the base of the vibrator. The first speed is very low and gentle, the second speed is relatively powerful, and the third speed is very strong; my fingers actually go numb if I hold this vibe for more than 30 seconds at top speed! The butterfly's flexible antennae, which shake back and forth as the toy vibrates, provide incredible clitoral stimulation. The vibrators are conducted relatively well through the dildo part of the toy, though they aren't nearly as powerful as the butterfly attachment's.
The Butterfly Kiss' tiny stature also implies that it is quiet, but this is a misconception. While it is easily muffled on the first and second speeds, the third speed is very loud, especially if the toy is not being pressed against something.
There are much better dual-action/rabbit vibrators than the Butterfly Kiss, and I don't think I'd recommend this toy to a very seasoned and/or picky shopper. Yet it's amazing for people who don't like a lot of girth (and I don't), and it's an elegant and reliable toy for dual-action newbies. At $17, the Butterfly Kiss is a real bargain, and it can easily be replaced with a better rabbit (or another Butterfly Kiss!) when it starts to degrade.

Experience
While the Butterfly Kiss' lack of a spine makes it a poor choice from strong G-spot stimulation, it also adds a lot of flexibility to this vibrator, which is why I gave it 5 stars. If you aren't completely comfortable with penetration, for example, you can flip the butterfly so that the butterfly attachment flicks against your vaginal opening while the dildo part vibrates against your clit. You can also flip the toy upside so that the butterfly attachment is tickling your anus. The Butterfly Kiss would also be a cute, beginner-friendly anal vibe.
This vibrator is definitely one of my favorites, thanks to its powerful vibrations and flexibility.

i have experiment attraction to women,,, i´m bicurious?
-
hi my name is yesenia paris,, and i´m 22 but since i was in high school i kind of have curiosity for girls,, i never like really kiss a girl or anything or i never had any female friend to experiment that, like i am very shy person and also like a lonely girl,, althought i am a very pleasant person and i good human being ,, noone seens to like me,,, but although of that matter i still feel the curiosity may because i have never been with a girl before
does that make a bisexual,a bicurious,of it just because the loneliness or the lock of friends,, like i never have a real
girl friend ,, like it´s samething that happens with boys,, you are not friends with them ,, but you like them in a different way,,, i always thing it´s because my loneliness
and the need of an another ,, girl being friends with me i also don´t have a mom to call and talk about my problems maybe it´s because of that the confusion thanks have a nice day -
Someone made a similar post a while back, and I'll basically tell you what we told her. Don't follow stereotypes. Don't label yourself. If you are interested in girls, then you just are. If you haven't experimented with girls, personally I feel that when I liked someone it isn't based on any particular factor, it is based on the person themselves. I tell people I am bisexual, but really I think of myself as pansexual, not limiting emotion and attraction to anything. Not gender, not age, not race, not social status.
I think that sometimes people can become lonely and will "settle", making them open their views and ideas of dating up, to allow "just anyone" to enter into their lives. My boyfriend was this way, before meeting me, dating anyone who would say yes because he had no friends, and had been hurt and heartbroken so badly he just wanted to feel loved and accepted. I also have a straight friend who dated women just so she could have someone to date, but she wasn't attracted to them, although she liked to experiment and have fun, she says she is straight, but I don't give her a label.
If you ever need a friend to talk to, I am a good listener :) -
Excellent advice Peggi and I second that. We don't need labels...we're just people. I'm a good listener too.

What's up with different Butterfly Kisses?
-
When I bought my Butterfly Kiss I thought there were only 2 versions - the standard and the Platinum Edition. Since I couldn't find the PE in my country I went with the regular one. I was so bent on getting it after watching Kara Sutra's review of it. She said it was TPR. I got my Butterfly Kiss. On the packaging (plastic shell with a piece of paper) it said that it's "phthalate-free" and made of TPR. I'm inclined to believe it as it didn't smell, didn't turn ugly yellow even when I had it for more than a year, didn't sting my bits (jelly does).
Now, however I see those jelly Butterfly Kisses. What's the deal? Was my vibe mis-labeled or are there more than 2 versions? I still have the paper insert from the packaging if you'd like to see it. The vibe itself looks a bit more opaque than what I see in EF catalog - it's always looked like this.
I would also ask people from EF who deal with the Review Program. Is my Butterfly Kiss same as yours (and thus qualifies for a review) or is it a different product? -
Hi there!! California Exotic Novelties was the 1st to come out with this fantastic design. & yes we only have 2 versions, the platinum & the original. Check it out on our website link
Many other companies have tried to duplicate our product but have had no success. We are the original creators with the best product :) Hope this helps! -
All butterfly Kiss items are made from Safe&Pure TPR

Quote: my girly parts rurt like burned like if i put bleach on them but it was after i got offIt's the jelly - throw it away or always use a condom. Look for better materials like silicone or VixSkin.

I wouldn't even use a condom...just get rid of it and stay away from the material.

Jelly Deformation?
-
Well I loved this little bugger and it came at a bargain so I suppose I can't complain too much. But I whipped it out for play tonight only to find that the jelly seems to have dented and deformed itself on the lovely bulbous head. I had it in a pocket next to my turbo glider and I suspect with some heat and pressure, that's the culprit that did this. It has very odd dents/suctionish things on it now.
Is this prone to happen to jelly toys? Could it have been the California summer heat? I would like to prevent this from happening in the future.
But in case people are wondering, this a toy I would glady invest in again. -
It is my experience that jelly toys just deteriorate really fast...the heat may have sped up this process though. I do know heat can cause more phthalates to leak out of jelly. It probably just kind of melted on you a little. I would have to say you should go ahead and get a new one or better yet, find a comparible toy in silicone! Silicone can be boiled so, heat shouldn't be an issue with it at all! It always sucks when one of your favorites melts.

Does your house get pretty warm? I've never had that problem and I live in AZ. Was it touching the turbo glider? Sounds like a toy material interaction to me.
