Mia: USB charged vibrator? Yes please!
I love nerds and all things nerdy. I also happen to love sex toys. I could not have found a better combo: Lelo's Mia. Lelo is the mecha of quality sex toys, so when I saw Mia, I was very excited.Published: March 23, 2010

Ok, I still like Mia, but we've hit a rough patch. One thing that really irks me is that the buttons are so easily pushed! If you are using it with a partner, the setting will eventually get changed because he bumps it, or you lay on it....or something. It's a pain in the ass. And also, the cap coming off is really a problem. It constantly comes off when I'm using it with my husband. It's not a matter of lube on the toy, it's a matter of design (unfortunately).
So, while I still love this toy for the geeky factor and the moderate vibrations, I have to say this is not the most couple friendly toy.

Mias USB cover cap

I've done a little reading up on the Mia and found that many people were having problems with the cap falling off during use. Since Mia is not waterproof, I wanted to know if this was a defect or is this is something that happens to the Mias over time. I am looking to get one for my girlfriend, but wanted to know more about this problem before I purchase it. Also, I read that LELO has made improvements to Mias motor. Is that the only improvement that was made? Or does anyone have the same problem with the cap falling off on the new Mia?

Any USB vibrators that you can use WHILE they are charging?

So I see there's no way you could use this one while it's charging, and apparently the same goes for the Fairy Baby. Does anyone know of one you can use while it's charging via USB?

I think the We-Vibe Tango might be usable since it looks like it's got a really long extension cord. But I don't own one.

I'd be worried about the risk of electrocution. Also, the power draw of simultaneous use and charging might fry your USB port.

I just went on the website and looked, I'm hoping that the one I order will be the new and improved one, because they said that they started making them better as of February. Now I'm even more excited to try it out :)

This is a very neat vibe, I also love that its rechargeable and so pretty. I use rechargeable batteries for my other toys because I hate the idea of waste.
How do you clean it and can it be immersed in water? How did it come packaged?

Gardenvy, it can not be immersed, so to clean it, I used a little antibacterial soap and warm water on a cloth. Easy washable.
JessManifesto, Thank you, too bad it can't be immersed. I told my honey about this one and I think the Easter Bunny is bringing me one this year. I love that it's rechargeable, I travel often with work so this should be great.
Yes, I too was somewhat disappointed it was not immersible. But you're right - this is a GREAT toy for travel
