Thigh highs with ruffles and bows - hosiery by Leg Avenue - review by JessCee

I will start this off by saying that JessCee has been bringin' sexy back. So when I came across these thigh highs, I snatched them right up in hopes of bringing out my salacious side. Paired with the Polka-dot mesh corset these were a huge hit!

I have to admit that at 180lbs, I am above the suggested 90-160lbs... I tend to be stubborn and want to try things anyway, and I'm glad I did this time! This weight range can vary based on where you carry your weight, so I wish Leg Avenue would add a thigh/leg measurement instead of a weight range. My thighs measure 19" in circumference, and while they did end up fitting fine. They were a little tight at first. The first time I put them on they gave me thigh muffin tops (this is not a good look, trust me) but, I kept them on for a couple of hours anyway and they stretched out to fit just fine. You do this with the consequence of losing some of the ruffle effect though. So I would not recommend trying these if your thighs measure anything above 19" because they will surely cut into your thighs and give you a less than flattering look. If you are in doubt, you should measure around your middle or upper thigh before you buy! On myself, the stretched length of the stockings come up my leg 28", maybe that will help you decide where to measure.

These stockings are somewhere in the middle of pantyhose and tights in terms of thickness. They are made of 100% nylon with the exception of the embellishments. They are embellished with a satin ruffle and bow. While these additions are certainly appealing, they both seem to be a bit flimsy. The ruffles had a significant amount of fraying right out of the packaging.



The bow kind of flops around due to the fact it is only secured by a single loop of thread into the stocking. The fraying was fixed by burning the ends extremely carefully, and I have had no further problems. Only time will tell how well the bows will hold up. I was also concerned that the color might wash out, but the stockings have made it through 5 nights of wear and 3 hand washing in lukewarm water with mild soap, with no color fade.


My absolute favorite thing about these stockings is that they don't roll down! This makes for great versatility because they can be worn with or without garters.



Overall I am extremely pleased with my new stockings. For the price, they are a wonderful addition to my new lingerie collection. I have already gotten a lot of use out of them. I give these thigh highs 4 stars, because they are thick and have a reinforced toe, so I fully expect that portion of the stocking to hold up very well and not be prone to getting any runs in them. The fraying was fairly easy to fix, and I have had no problems with the bows YET.

This is still an exceptional pair of stockings. They have held up very well through 7-10 nights of wear and I'd say 5-6 hand-washings. They have no runs in them, the black color has not faded at all, and I haven't had any further problems with the fraying in the satin ruffles. I love them so much that I recently added the white ones to my collection! I am still very pleased with these stockings and I highly recommend them.
