The maven is extremely soft and creates a vacuum around round your penis. Water based lube is recommended, however multiple applications are needed for extended use. The Maven is smooth and the bumps inside create a great stimulation. The expandable material allows for forceful thrusting to occur without pain or discomfort. The vacuum that is created is a realistic and fantastic sensation. The Maven fits comfortably in my hand and is easily gripped, so that hard and fast stimulation with this toy is possible.
Cleaning is easy. Simply turn the Maven inside out and clean it with soap and water. However, after repeated cleanings the toy begins to get splits in the material. These splits are rough and uncomfortable on the penis after extended use. The smell of the Maven out of the package is strong and unpleasant.

The only reason I do not enjoy the maven is simple. I wore this toy slap out. The turning it inside out to clean after each use was its demise. Little tears started to form in the inner lining and they became larger and eventually it felt uncomfortable. I fixed that problem with wearing a condom. However, it finally tore through while really abusing it. I would recommend it definitely!

Cornstarch w/ Maven sleeve?

I just got the Maven sleeve and it seemed to be dusted with cornstarch or something else white when it was in the package. I assumed it was to keep it soft on the outside, but I haven't heard anything about using cornstarch with elastomer. Just soap and water, right?

A google search shows recommendations for doing so with silicone and cyberskin, but not specifically elastomer (although some industrial type sites suggest using cornstarch on elastomer..)

I was wondering, tho, does anyone know if you can use oil lubes with elastomer?

I use this one all the time.. the whole sleeve is really soft and squishy, so if you want it tighter, you can just squeeze it. The nubs on the inside feel great, and a little bit of lube really makes it an experience. Easy to clean up, too!

I would dust with cornstarch after it is completely dry. These elastometer sleeves are kind of sticky--more to itself than to humans!
