I'm a little teapot...
In short, the Shaki Textured Sleeve is a good hand job enhancement to add a bit of variety to your masturbation. It's not going to simulate a vagina or a mouth or an ass, but it's soft nubs and ribbed exterior make it easy to grip and full of gentle sensations.Published: November 29, 2009
Pros:
Soft, squishy, stretchy, stimulating nubs, excellent price.
Cons:
Doesn't cover the entire penis, which some may not like, not durable.
...short and stout.
Well, maybe not a teapot, but the Shaki Textured Sleeve is definitely short and stout. (or as stout as TPE can be) At only 3.5 inches long this is not the type of stroker you can bury your whole dick in and fantasize that it's a vagina or a mouth or an ass. It's... just a stroker, meant to add a bit of texture and variety to your hand jobs.
The TPE material feels just like cyberskin. It picks up lint and dust and dirt like cyberskin, too, so we treated it as if it was by washing it with very gentle soap and water, letting it completely dry and then storing it in a ziploc back with a bit of corn starch in it to keep it supple. Silicone or water based lube can be used with this but don't share it as it is very porous and it can't be sterilized.
The outside of the stroker is ridged with deep, donut like rolls of ridges. The inside is stimulating nubs. The exterior diameter is almost 2 inches and the interior stretches to accommodate even a large, thick penis. The TPE is both bulky and thin at the same time; it's a substantial little stroker and yet, when stretched, it doesn't feel very durable. I'm sure we'll only get another use or two out of it and it'll likely perforate. That's ok, though, for us, as the price was definitely right.
Because it's short, the head of the penis is going to be exposed. Some don't like that but my partner actually did. It allowed him to feel like he was repeatedly entering the stroker if he used long strokes along the entire length of his penis. No, every inch wasn't covered at the same time, but it isn't with a hand, either.
It really is a hand job enhancement and not an orifice replicator.
The nubs felt good, the material was suitably squishy and soft and it made the handjob a bit different than a normal one so, for us, this was a decent toy.

Follow-up commentary
4 months after original review
This stroker did, indeed, tear after the fourth use. We still liked it quite a bit, though. For it's price and considering it's porosity, it was a good buy and felt good while it lasted.

Textured Sleeve Length?
-
So, there are six reviews of this thing floating around here at Eden. The sizes provided range from two to five and a half inches. The description says it's three and a half inches, but those are occasionally wrong also. Does anyone own one of these, preferably close to new, and can you please put it up to a ruler and tell me how long it actually is? Thanks! ~Pixie

Thanks! ~PixieI don't have a ruler handy but I put the screen to "life size" for when you compare products and measured our brand new one by holding it right at that ruler. When I held the wider end at the top of the ruler it appeared to be 4" long. When I held the smaller end at the top of the ruler, it appeared to be 3 1/2" long. Go figure...I think that the wider end at the top of the ruler was the more accurate length as I got that same measurement twice.
Not bad for a FREE item now if you place an order. -
My review has an image with a ruler!

Thank you for viewing Textured sleeve – masturbation sleeve review page!

But how did it feel on yours?
jk
Is this a multi-use toy or was it just something to throw in the drawer when you're done?
We've gotten three uses out of it and I think we'll probably get two or three more, but it's definitely not something that's going to last much longer than that.
Even now, the outside is a bit worn looking just from hand friction.
But at four bucks a pop? Hell, that's a quarter the price of the Tenga cups (thought they are WAY better) and those are single use.
Very nice review!
Sounds like it might be a good stocking stuffer!
Thanks, newme!
And yeah, I'm hoping it comes back in stock before the holidays cuz it would make a FAB stocking stuffer for a naughty stocking.
Good review
