Warm and fuzzy all over.
The Hot Love set is a small massage set that heats and can be reheated later. A chemical reaction allows for heated massages. You can take them with you and enjoy a massage. They are cute and great for gifts as well as a hand warmer. And a wonderful alternative to a heated stone massage.Published: February 10, 2010
Pros:
Discreet and cute, no wet aftermath like with stone massaging, travel easily, can be reheated.
Cons:
The crystallized gel is hard rather than soft and conforming.
Hot Love sensual heated massagers are temporarily heated pads that you can run over your lovers body to relieve stress or just give a nice rub down. There are two vinyl packs filled with a gel substance that heats when you pop the small metal demon, I mean disc, inside the pack. The gel heats to a supposed 129 degrees Fahrenheit, although I didn’t think it got that hot. They lasted about 30 minutes each once I got them going, and about 15-20 minutes when I reheated them. The texture of the pads is a matte vinyl, and the material is thick so it won't just pop.
I pulled the little pouches from the box (kind of like a cute little pillow box) and, since it is like 30 degrees outside, snapped one of those suckers to get it going. Honestly, with massage oils they really feel like a stone massage minus the water that cools down right after moving the stone from its spot. When I snapped the metal disc, I am guessing a chemical reaction of sorts happens, the gel crystallized and warmed immediately. The only part I really didn’t care for was that the pouch hardened and was no longer the squishy pouch I originally held. The original feeling was like if you put honey into a bag, it was thick and gel like.
Now, let’s take note of some care instructions here. This is a chemical, so don’t freaking eat it, and if you want to know what it smells or tastes like I have no idea because I tend to avoid sticking crystallizing chemicals into my mouth (for various reasons). Cleaning is relatively easy, just wipe it down, or soap and water, or you can actually boil these bad boys.
Boiling brings me to another point, if you stick them in boiling water, the crystals will disappear. Once they are gone you can reuse the heat pads. So just pull them out of the water and they are ready to go again. Awesome right? I loved the reusable feature. My heart sank when I first thought they were one use only, but my prayers we answered and they do reheat.
One annoyance I noted in use was that the metal disc can be very difficult to snap and form crystals with. The first one wasn’t so bad, but I had to fight to snap the second pad. I am not sure if it was just that one, or if it is common, but it did get very aggravating after a while.
I did test out the boiling (about eight times) and there was no sign of wearing down or anything like that. I am really impressed by these. My first impression was not so great; I was sure they would puncture easily, but they don’t. An added bonus is that, unlike traditional heated stone massages, you won’t be left with a wet spot that rapidly cools because these can be dried after boiling them. I would like to add that when you retrieve them from the water, use tongs or something. It is boiling water and you can get burned.
Another way I used these were as pocket warmers. They are in no way inappropriate to leave around or carry with you, so warm them up and slip them into your pockets and you have instant pocket warmers. They would also make a great gift for Valentine’s Day or whenever because of the "hugs" and "kisses" sentiments on each one. Just a few more suggestions.

Experience
I loved using mine as pocket warmers or just a nice massage with a candle or two lit. I did have a little trouble popping the discs, but once they are popped you never have to worry about it again. I am considering getting a few more sets and using them like a true stone massage because J doesn't care too much for the water in stone massages. You can place them in specific spots for tension relief.

Heat Massagers
-
Does anyone find that after a few months, these tend to lose their heat? I don't use them A LOT, but frequently and I have noticed that they tend to not get as hot after a few months. Does anyone know about how long these are supposed to last as far as their "maximum" performance?

I guess not LOL

Sensual vs. Sexy
-
I would like to try products like the Hot Love Massagers but I don't know how to incorporate it into my sex life. My boyfriend and I are very sexual active, but not so sensually active. How can I get a little more romance in the bedroom?

I agree with Ryuson.
A massage can definitely turn into sexy too. :)

Thank you for viewing Hot love – sensual kit review page!

These are great. I have a pair just like them, but not in the same desgin, same disc/concept though. I like the thought behind them, and they work decently too.
Awesome review.
Great review
Great review J's Alley!
Thank
I really did genuinely like these and even think they would be a great gift for someone.
I was totally tempted to request these for review, but in the heat of summer it seemed like a bit much. They'd make great pocket warmers as well, like you said, so yeay for multi-use toys!
Very nice review!
Great review! Do you have to boil them to get them back to gel-state or would washing with hot water do the trick?
Love that you use them as pocket warmers. I hope EF decides to carry them before winter's over!
You have to boil them to get them to heat up again, but they get hard really really fast and stay warm.
These look rather fun
Nice review!
Great review. I had the same problem snapping the discs and was a little disappointed at the hardening. Overall, these were great and stayed warm for quite some time.
Thanks for the review
