Durex Play Warmer lubricant is different from most other warming lubes I have tried. Many other warming lubes, in my experience, can become so hot they become uncomfortable. Also, many others heat up more when breathed or blown on, and with friction. Durex Play Warmer did not heat up at all from breath or friction, and the warming sensation in general was so faint as to be practically unnoticeable. The only time I actually did feel a warming sensation was when I was cleaning myself up afterward and drying with a towel.
Durex Play Warmer is thinner than some of the other
Durex Play lubes I have tried, and can tend to be a little runny during application. It is slippery enough and provides adequate lubrication for intercourse, but it can get a little sticky after awhile. The lubrication is just barely adequate for use with jelly toys, and reapplication was required frequently. Again, when used with toys, the lube tended to dry out and become very sticky and uncomfortable.
Overall, I think there are definitely better choices on the market for lubes than Durex Play Warmer. In particular, if you are interested in the warming aspect of this product, then look elsewhere—the warming sensation is barely, if at all, noticeable. I do not like my warming lubes to burn me, but I do expect some warming sensation, and this lube fails to provide it.
Durex Play Warmer is overly sticky, especially with prolonged use, and tends to make intercourse feel gloppy and uncomfortable. I also did not find its lubricating properties up to extended play with a jelly toy—it just kept getting sticky and requiring frequent reapplication. Overall, I do not have much positive to say about this lubricant, other than it is adequate as a lube for sexual intercourse in a pinch.
