Lubricant discontinued
by K-Y Brand

For the pussy, ass, and FACE!

If you need lube and you happen to be at the corner market, this is as good an option as any. I'd put this toward the lower end of my favorites, but who can argue with the price?

My partner and I used this a few times for vaginal sex. I'm told it's feasible for anal sex as well, although that's not our cuppa. While it’s not our favorite, it’s indeed a decent product. Easy to use in its squeezy bottle, not as sticky as the ID lube we’d been using. It dries quickly, which can be a problem; reapplication is important if your partner doesn't get or stay very wet during sex. It doesn’t matter what kind of lube you use, it’s going to leave some kind of residue. KY unfortunately gets a bit grody, forming little balls after about half an hour.

One of the best things about this lube is its nonthreatening and generic-looking container. If you left it out in plain view, it would be easy to mistake it for a container of lotion or topical analgesic. KY does contain paraben products, so that may make this lube a no-go for some people.

KY is readily accessible not only from our fine friends at EdenFantasys, but at most corner stores and grocery stores. It doesn't draw as much attention as some of the other more garishly and blatantly obvious packaging for other lubes. This is helpful if you're purchasing it in person and do not wish to announce to the world “Yes! I am here and I am purchasing this lube because I intend to have The Sex very soon! Possibly by myself!”

This lube has also, oddly, long been used by paper mache mask makers as a buffer between a mask mold and a mask. It's also used when forming life casts of peoples' faces. Overall, for under ten dollars you may as well look for something that's more appealing. There's no shortage of varieties of lube and most of them are decently priced. KY is just the most well-known brand.
Follow-up commentary
After using KY for a while, my partner and I noticed that both of our bits started to smell pretty awful. We shower frequently (together) and are very careful about hygiene; the only common factor was the lube.
