K-Y jelly - lubricant discontinued by K-Y Brand - review by Luca77

I have only used this lube once. It failed so miserably that I can't imagine using it again. I'll try to be fair in this review, but there is little to redeem, sadly.

To be frank, K-Y was the only lube I had ever heard of before I became sexually active. So, when my then-partner said it's what he used I wasn't skeptical at all. It was the lube, right? Wrong. So wrong. I can't really say enough that this lube is rather mediocre, and here's why:

Look/Taste/Feel: Quite boring, but then again it's lube. It is pretty much a thin jelly. Colorless, odorless, and, for a short time, slick. Note I said "for a short time." Before penetration was even made, the lube had gotten tacky. We're talking 30 seconds max here. If anything, it made the experience more painful by catching on my skin! Anyways, it doesn't last long, needs a lot or re-application, and is a pain to get off when finished with. It's like cleaning dried-on strawberry jam off of a kid's face. I suppose if you're one to shower for clean up this isn't such a bummer, but that's my point here. You pretty much have to shower to get this stuff off of any place but your hands.

Uses: I suppose K-Y's redeeming feature is that it's water-based. Though, I can't see it being used even as jerkoff lube. It just wears out so quickly. This is purely speculation, but even for a quicky I'd probably use up almost if not all of the 2 oz bottle. It can be used for vaginal and anal sex as well as toys. Just don't expect much.

Experience: Now it is fair to say that I've only used this lube the one time I mentioned earlier in this review. Normally I'd give a product another chance. Not so here. It was such a bad experience I can't be moved to try it again. Skip this lube no matter what you're using it for.

Gave it a second chance, still doesn't deliver. There are other water-based lubes that last longer and are less expensive.
