Something for those with allergies!
If you have any sensitivity to lubes and other contact allergies, start with ID Moments. The fact that it doesn't have any parabens and glycerin is a huge thing. And the stuff works just as well as any water-based lube.Published: December 16, 2010
Pros:
Hypoallergenic, free of parabens and glycerin, slick texture.
Cons:
None.
This is a gods-send for those with allergies to a lot of the normal ingredients that are in lubes. I am lucky enough to not have many problems with these allergies; I have one, but I haven't narrowed down what it is that I am allergic to as of yet. This is for people with sensitive skin, which is why I picked it up.
It is completely hypo-allergenic and for a lot of people this is just what they need. It is glycerin- and paraben-free and just as easy to use as any other water-based lube. About two dime-sized amount in the hand was about right for a regular sex session. It works with all kinds of sex toys as well. It's completely safe for use with latex condoms and silicone toys.
The older that I get, the more I am noticing that I need the lube. This may be one of the ones that I will be going back to more and more. It works wonderfully with my body chemistry and blends well with my body's natural lubrication. It feels natural and clean, while adding the much-needed slickness and moisture. The texture of it is soft, slick, and very, very light. Even after the session, it is still slick and not sticky at all.
It is colorless, flavorless, and has no scent. This is part of this hypoallergenic marketing and it is a very nice feature. I have noticed that it doesn't seem to stain fabrics, either. It has a flip-top lid and no way to lock it closed. Just don't let it sit on its side or it could leak a little. As it dries, it can get a little tacky to the touch.
Clean up from it is very fast--all that I had to do was just wipe up and I was good. There isn't any residue after a quick clean up. My male partners will sometimes just wipe up or will want to take a shower to get it off.
I really should say exactly what's in it because a few people may have some trouble with the ingredients: Water, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Peg-45M, Tetrahdroxypropyl Ethylenediamine, Sucrolose, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxy Ethanol, Hexylene Glycol, Sucrolose. It includes Flavor, but I couldn't tell at all.
Overall, I would have to say that this one is safe for those with allergies and sensitive skin.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
Since I first used ID Moments, I have continued to use it. I'm not that big of a fan of water based lubes, but this one being hypoallergenic is well worth sticking with it for me.

just wondering
-
A gentlemen has mentioned in comments he had a burning effect. Not like skin burning just irrotation burn im assuming.
Has anyone else used this lube and found anything else needed to know or was it just a reaction to him? -
Different people have different sensitivities. I know a person who was rushed to a hospital because of one small strawberry. She can eat everything else. Other people can't eat even trace amounts of peanuts. The fact that someone had a reaction doesn't necessarily mean you will.

To be safe, if you already own this lubricant, try testing on the top of your foot.
Observe the area for an hour, if no reaction occurs then you should be okay to use this on your genitals.
If you don't have any known allergies, have used lubricants before without difficulties, then you should be okay. But to be safe, you might want to consider a different lubricant.
Like the Previous Poster said, everyone reacts differently.

Thank you for viewing ID moments – water based lube review page!

You cleaned this up really well!
I too think I might have an allergy/sensitivity of some sort but haven't figured it out yet. I might have to try this for comparison to see if I have the same problems. Thanks for the great review! They are getting better
LaUr3n: i have allergies to some lubes that i don't know what it is yet that cause the problem yet too. but this one worked just perfect for me and other women with bad allergies.
Annamarie: thank you for everything!!!!!! *hugs*
You should try the Feminine Moisturizer by California Exotics it's helped me with that not so lubricated feeling and without any horrible stinging or irritation. It's not the thickest lube but it does what it says it's supposed to!
I just got this item from EF and the ingredients are completely different from what's listed here. Perhaps the page needs an update? Is there a way to report a change in the product?
Thanks for your review.
LOVE that this is for the sensitive peeps out there!
Thanks =)
