ID moments - lubricant discontinued by I-D Lubricants - review by Do-Re-Mi

ID moments is a water based lube, meaning it can be used with all types of toys and is latex compatible. It can be used vaginally and anally, however, it's a bit on the thin side for anal play. I could see it working for very light anal play, but not anything more. This is a great lube for someone who needs an extra boost for vaginal sex with a partner or a toy.

Being water soluble, ID moments will not be of much use in the bath or shower. A nice silicone lube will work much better for those situations.

This lube is glycerin and paraben free, which is wonderful for people with sensitivities to those ingredients. ID moments is also sold as a hypoallergenic product. Hypoallergenic products are just products that are claimed to cause fewer allergic reactions, but this means nothing if you are allergic to or have sensitivities to an ingredient in the product. As with any cosmetic type product be sure to read through the ingredients to make sure there is nothing you are allergic to and if you are unsure do a spot check on the inside of you elbow before usage.

I was actually surprised at how similar to my natural lubrication this feels. It's mildly thick and very slippery. It sort of reminds me of soft serve ice cream. It starts off as a thick goo but then eventually becomes thiner when rubbed in or heated by your skin. ID moments stays in the "goo" consistancy for long enough that I've never had it dripping everywhere during application. With a lot of friction it will eventually absorb into the skin but I've never had it go sticky on me. Once it's absorbed into the skin there's no residue left but if you were to lick that spot the taste would still be there. With vaginal use, decreasing of lubrication is not really a problem for me because my natural lubrication keeps it from drying up, but if you need to reactivate it just add a few drops of water or a little bit more lube.

The one thing that really got me on board with this lube was all the reviews saying it has a green candy apple scent. Uh, hello! 18-year-old girl here. Anything that smells like candy or fruit is like crack to me. Unfortunately, my bottle smells more like chemicals and plastic. It's not super strong though and I can only smell it when I put it right up near my nose.

This is not at all a lube you want to use for oral sex. It's bitter and just plain old bad. If you do happen to get this in your mouth if there's a little licking going on don't worry, the taste will be completely gone after a few seconds but that doesn't mean this is something you want to be gulping down.

ID moments worked wonderfully for me for vaginal sex with both a toy and partner. I usually have a hard time with the initial insertion of anything bigger than two fingers but this lube really helped ease the way for much larger items. It just made everything more comfortable. My natural lubrication kept it from drying up and I never had to reapply. Because it's water soluble all you need to do for clean up is rinse it off with a little bit of water but if you choose to just lay there in post-bliss, like I like to, it will eventually just absorb into your skin just as natural lubrication would.

I've yet to use this for a hand job or for clit stimulation but when I tested it out on the back of my hand with heavy friction it started to sink into the skin after 5 minutes. If it starts to dry up a little just add water, spit, or a little more lube to get things going again.

To cover a medium sized toy (or man) I only had to use about a dime size amount, but if you need to cover a larger area or need more lubrication than I do you might need more.

I have the 2.7 OZ bottle of ID Moments, which is actually listed as a 2.8 OZ bottle on EF. The bottle shape is exactly the same as what is shown in the pictures on EF, however, the back label on the bottle is very different than what is shown. It lists some features (Water Based, Glycerin & Paraben Free, etc.), gives directions, has a small section with warnings and storage information, lists ingredients, and gives company contact information. There is nothing really sexual on the bottle but if someone were to know what lube is they would be able to tell what it is fairly easily.

On my packaging I noticed that the ingredients list was very different from the one listed on the website. Based on the major differences in the packaging and the product itself compared to past reviews, I'm pretty sure that ID changed the formula and it has yet to be updated on EF's site.

The bottle is really quality packaging. I've yet to have any leakage problems. I've had it in bed with me during sex, stored it on it's side, and even took it on a 5 hour car ride without anything leaking out.

When you want the product to come out, it does so very easily. I do not know how the other sizes are, especially the ones in different types of bottles, but the 2.7 OZ bottle is amazing.
