Polka dot chemise - chemise discontinued by Coquette - review by jessi2

I am searching for a replacement for my favorite chemise that I bought a long time ago, and this one comes very close to being a great replacement.

The Polka dot chemise by Coquette is from their Kissable line, and is black with pink lace.
On the site, it looks beautiful and comfortable, though the lace appeared to be white, instead of pink. I like it anyway, even though I am not a pink kind of girl. I ordered the XL or plus size due to the fact that I have very large breasts.

The package arrived three days after ordering. I opened the shipping box and inside was a nice pink and white box with a full figured model on the front wearing the chemise. On the front of the box you see the front of the model and on the back you see the back of the model. I love this feature because so often a box won't show you the back and you are left to find out on your own. Also, the box does not have the materials listed to make this piece, so I looked on Eden. It is made of nylon and spandex. This chemise does not come with a thong included, so if you do not have any, you should order a matching one off the site.

This chemise is put together very well. The pink lace shoulder straps are double stitched on the front and back where it is attached, and the soft pink edging that goes all the way around the top is single stitched. There is a pink bow on the front in the middle of the pink band that accentuates the breasts. In between the breasts there is an elastic ruching that helps show off cleavage. The bottom falls halfway to my knees (I am 5'5) and is a good length. It is also finished at the bottom to prevent tears.

The entire piece is stretchy, so it does not do much to "hide" your flaws, but it is quite comfortable to wear. My belly (which I am working on losing) stuck out a little since the fabric was not tight. I currently wear a size 14 in pants and if I did not have such huge boobs, I would have ordered the standard size. I have a lot of extra room in this piece, and the fabric has a lot of give.

I only had two (small) issues with this piece. The first is that since I have 38 DDD breasts, it does not provide me with enough support to be attractive to wear by itself. I simply added a black lace bra beneath and it looked stunning. The second is that the pink lace straps do not lie on my shoulders as they do for the model in the picture. They kind of bunch up and roll into themselves, which does not look as cute as the lace would look, but did not make it uncomfortable. I left them rolled up and went about my business. ;)

I will pair it with a garter and black stockings and heels.

Well, I wore this one for my fiance, and generally she takes off the lingerie I am wearing. She left this one on! Of course, I had to use a bra to give support, but it looked so great on, she went gaga over me. I know that she thinks I am sexy even just standing there naked, but this piece just added so much extra va va voom! This chemise is so worth it, especially if you have time to do your hair and makeup, I also added a garter and nylons with the highest heels I have and met her at the door!

It is great in quality and will be making several re-appearances in the bedroom!
