Raspberry Fields

If you're not going to be wearing this super often for a super long time, then I definitely think that it's a good investment. It's comfortable enough and seems like it would flatter a lot of body types.

The colours in Coquette's Spring and Summer lingerie are really feminine and pretty, so they're perfect for this time of year. This one is from the Raspberry Fields family, which is a raspberry pink and a white floral lace. This piece also has some hot pink and white ribbon as well as a neutral lining under the lace. These colours are great on tanned skin.

The fabric is a stretchy, ruched microfiber blend, so not super soft or comfortable, but pretty mid-line. It's not scratchy or anything, it's just not something that anyone is going to want to run their hands over for fun. Which is probably fine, as the ruching makes it a bit tricky to do that anyways. This might be a good idea to size down in if you possibly can, because the ruching will cover up any problem areas, and it would look best tight against the skin. The small was a little bit big for me in this piece, but I am on the lower end of Coquette's size range anyways. The bust area was pretty much perfect for me, so I would go with this one if you are on the smaller side. I don't think that you will find much support if you're bigger in the cup. It is also a halter neck, so I imagine that it wouldn't be too comfy if you had to tie the super thin string as someone with a larger bust.

The white lacy part in the middle does a good job of disguising any belly bump you may have, and the amount of stretch in this piece means that it actually might work for pregnant women (up to a point, of course). The little flowers are actually pretty cute. I was worried that they might look a little bit too much like something that my grandmother would wear, but they're bright enough that in combination with the youthful style of the chemise, they don't age you at all.

I do tend to sweat a bit more in this piece because it isn't super breathable, which means that I hand wash it after almost every time I wear it. I just use whichever lingerie wash I have at the time and then lie it out flat to dry. I think that you could probably risk running it through a washing machine on delicate if you really wanted to, but definitely don't put it in the dryer. The first time you wash it, do it in cold water with some salt to set the color, or you will get a bit of color bleeding from the raspberry pink into the white.

The ribbon has already started to fray on this, so it might not last a super long time. It seems to be pretty well-made otherwise, though. The garters are very annoying as a shorter girl, because they're not adjustable, so they're way too long for my body and I just cut them off. They're really pretty (though made with a flimsy plastic, so they probably wouldn't have last long anyways), but they're just not practical.

For the fraying ribbons, look up heat sealing ribbons for bows on youtube. You basically just gently and quickly run a light along the cut edge and it will seal it so it won't fray. That way it last longer. Thanks for the review. I will definitely be looking into this set!
