Definitely Deep Down

This toy is definitely not for beginners. It's extremely intimidating and not the best material to start out with. However, it is one of the most powerful toys in my collection. So if you know how to take care of it and you can accommodate something this big, then I would definitely recommend it.

Use

Interestingly enough, I actually received this rabbit from a friend of mine. I've never used a rabbit before. In fact, I had no idea why it was called a rabbit Until I had a look at this huge, purple monstrosity. It's got a rabbit perched on it! It's so adorable! It's got the cutest little details right down to a tiny little tail. And wow is it intense!

Just by looking at it you can tell that you slide the long part inside the vagina, with the rabbit positioned face down. His adorable little ears slide right against your clit so that when you turn it on, you can feel it inside your vagina, as well as against your clit. Buyers beware: this is definitely not a toy for beginners. Unless you're like me (a bit masochistic), and enjoy jumping in with both feet.

The great thing about rabbits is that they're good for solo play, as well as playing with a partner. The toy itself is an intimidating 9" long, 2" being just the handle/remote area. Personally, I can't take that much length. The fact that this particular rabbit has a little nub on the very top of the toy (which seems like it's supposed to be designed to stimulate the G-spot) makes it even worse. If you slide it in too far, it rubs against the cervix, which is painful for me. I've been using about 5 1/2" and that puts the rabbit's ears right against my clit. So while the toy does have a scary look to it, it is still completely functional.

Material / Texture

This monstrosity of a rabbit is made out of a PVC/plastic mix. It's described as being smooth, which it definitely is, but if you drag your finger down the length of it, you'll find that it has a lot of drag. I would most definitely recommend a good water based lube to use in conjunction with the Deep Down N Dirty Rabbit. The great thing is that there's practically no smell to it, even when it's fresh from the package. Granted, you'll smell it if you put it up to your nose, but who really does that before or after using it?

In theory, this toy is supposed to be waterproof. I'm not entirely sure if I would trust the craftsmanship well enough to submerge it in water, and come out with a perfectly functioning toy. While inspecting my particular toy, I noticed that there's a seam between the toy itself and the controller (lighter purple vs. darker purple) and that part of the seam had popped. I'm not sure if mine is just defective, or if it's a problem with several toys, but I would definitely be careful with it.

I also didn't realize until just now when I was toying with it to get ideas, but this rabbit actually bends. Like I said earlier, this is my first one... But do all rabbits bend? Or is this a feature particular to this toy?

Design / Shape / Size

Like I said earlier, this ginormous purple vibrator is a huge 9" long and 5 1/2" around. It's a bit ridiculous and completely unnecessary for most women. The bunny itself if about 3 1/2" long, ears included. It's definitely not a toy meant for beginners. Even a more advanced user may have problems inserting the full length.

It has a little angled nub at the very top, about 1/2" long. My theory about it's purpose is that it was intended to stimulate the g-spot. Whether or not it can do that while the bunny stimulates your clit at the same time is another matter all together.

Opposite of the little nub is a flat oval. I'm not entirely sure what it's supposed to be for, although I have some ideas. Once I figure it out, I'll update!

The length of the shaft itself is made out of three different bulges, the first two of which are insert-able. The bunny is riding bulge #3.

Functions / Performance / Controls

For the life of me, I couldn't figure out the pulse patterns. And I realized they were on the back of the box. However, this toy has a memory. Turning off the toy doesn't put you back at the beginning of the rotation. When you turn it back on, you're on the same pulse pattern.

There are 10 modes of vibration, and the back of the box has a list of what they are. Some may find the controls confusing since there's no way of knowing where you are on the list of patterns and turning the toy off and back on just brings you right to the next pattern on the list.

The thing that I found most frustrating about this toy was the way the controls were set up. The on/off/cycle button is on the very bottom of the toy. If you're using it solo, it's really hard to get a grip without pressing the button and turning it off or (EVEN WORSE!!) changing the setting! If you hit the button on either side, it moves to the next setting. If you hit it in the center, it turns off. My man said he noticed the same thing when he was using it on me.

As for the intensity/volume of the toy, it depends on which setting you're on.

1 - High: 5 Vrooms, 5 Bees - you'll go numb if someone doesn't knock on your bedroom door and tell you to keep it down
2 - Medium: 4 1/2 Vrooms and Bees - still pretty strong/loud
3 - Low: 3 for each - keep it under a heavy blanket and you should be fine. But this is no longer strong enough for me, personally
4 - The next pattern has erratic jumps between low, medium and high
5 - Then there's a pulsing between low and high (my LEAST favorite)
6 - Followed by a medium setting with quick jumps down to low
7 - The vibrations pulse quickly on high
8/9 - Then there's two patterns differing slightly that both alternate between low and high
10 - Lastly, there's a quick steady pulse on low
    • Multiple settings
    • Not discreet at all
    • Powerful

Care and Maintenance

This toy is made out of plastic and PVC, which puts it at about 2 out of 10 on the safety scale. It collects lint and grows bacteria. Even if you're really careful about cleaning it, it's still going to get gross after a while. Make sure that the battery compartment is completely closed before washing it. You can wash it in a sink with hot, soapy water (preferably anti-bacterial soap) or you can use a bleach solution. Then there's also any of the toy cleaning sprays Eden Fantasies is kind enough to sell.. However, since the material is so porous, you're not going to be able to keep it completely clean. You could try using it with a condom to keep it relatively lint- and bacteria-free.

Storage is a big more difficult. This toy is HUMONGOUS. You just won't understand until you try fitting it into a ziploc bag or a shoe box or some other way of storing it. Just try to keep it away from lint. Seriously.
    • Difficult to store
    • Hard to clean
    • High maintenance

Personal comments

Honestly, I'm a big fan of this toy. I just need to keep reminding my man that deeper is NOT better. It's extremely powerful, which I definitely enjoy. And the bunny is so cute! However, I can't think of a single person I would gift this too. Keep the motor. Ditch the nub on top. Cut it down by at least 2" inches. Get a better material. And make a separate on/off switch. Then maybe we'll talk.

This toy looks very interesting. I'm like you- can't handle a lot of length. But I've been looking for something on the cheaper end with lots of vibrations, and this just might be the toy!

As long as you're careful not to slide it in too far, you should give it a shot. It's definitely worth the price.
