Help me, Rondo!
The Siena Rondo is a quality made toy with all sorts of ridges and bumps and girth to spare. It's got ten settings. Three steady vibrations (low, medium and high), and seven different pulsation variables (staccato, roller coaster and escalation). It's waterproof. It's not overly loud. It's firm, dense and mostly inflexible. And it's made of silicone. Who could ask for anything more?Published: April 27, 2010
Pros:
firm, ripply, vibrations "just right", easy to use, LED light show
Cons:
smells like Desitin
(Shut up. It's all I could think of.)
The Siena Rondo, by Mantric, is eight inches long and one and three-quarters inches wide. It has an insertable length of five and three-quarters inches and a circumference of five and one-half inches.
It's made of pure silicone, and doesn't taste like anything, but it smells like Desitin. Mine's yellow but it comes in a pretty lavender color, too. It's really dense and firm, and actually a little on teh heavy side. It doesn't really bend at all, making it easier on those of us who need firm pressure. And it's got awesome ridges all around the sides and a bulbous head for g-spot stimulation.
It comes in a red and white box with a diagram on the side that shows the patterns of the pulsation variables. And, of course, it comes with a user manual.
The toy itself was shrink-wrapped, and rests in molded plastic lined with some sort of furry stuff. It's almost felt-like in texture, and it comes off all over everything. Now that this review is finished, it's going in the garbage.
Unscrew the bottom to put in the 4 AAA batteries. One side points down and the other up. Make sure the washer's in place when you replace the cap. And then push the top button to go straight into the pulsation variables, or the bottom one to start with steady vibrations. The bottom starts on high, but you can cycle down to low, and then use the top button to work your way back up to high. And you do have to cycle back through the settings to turn the toy off.
Between the buttons is an LED light. It changes colors and flashes depending on what setting you're on.
Wash this toy with anti-bacterial soap, or toy cleaner. Pour boiling water over it, or wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution to sanitize between partners or orifices. But don't put it in the dishwasher, and use water based lube.
But you wanna know what it's like, huh?
Awesome!
I like the Rondo better than the Gigolo. It's girthy and ripply and perfect.
The vibrations aren't too strong or too weak. They're just right, and not really all that loud.
The ripply texture isn't too much for someone like me who thinks nubs feel like sandpaper, but isn't so subtle that you don't notice it's there.
It's easy to use and quality made. All in all, I love this toy.
